A/N: Hey guys I'm back! Sorry about the wait, but there's only one chapter after this one... I'm sad that it's ending but you guys have been with me every step of the way and I'd love it if you kept on reading my works! I've decided I'll work on both a KOTLC x PJO crossover fic and my Superhero story at the same time, just because I love you guys so much. On with the long awaited chapter!
Sophie painfully waited for Fitz's reaction. At first he just seemed... well... shocked. Anytime before today it would've made sense for him to be shocked. Not now though, not after he'd willingly admitted he liked her. She was still recovering from the shock from that, trying to recover some of the confidence she showed when facing the rebels and other things like that. No luck though, she apparently had no confidence whatsoever when facing her long time friend/crush.
Sophie was pulled out of her thoughts when she felt a slight rumbling noise, which turned into the sound of gasping laughs that came from... Fitz? What? Why was he laughing? She stared at him, agape and confused, before sighing and baking her head. He probably thought she was a fool. This was most likely an elaborate prank that he was put up to doing by none other than Keefe to play a - horrible, horrible - joke on her.
Fitz seemed to understand what she was thinking, especially after a tear fell from one of her warm brown eyes. He immediately stopped short from laughing and hesitantly wrapped an arm around her, hugging Sophie to him.
She stared up at him as he transmitted. Hey, I wasn't laughing at you. I was just laughing because I was relieved. I thought you had a crush on Keefe- or even Dex. Or that you might not care for crushes because of the match making system. (Sophie made a mental note to ask somebody how that worked exactly) I'm so happy you feel the same way though, I seriously don't think I could handle this feeling I have in me right now if you didn't.
Sophie blushed at his long, heartfelt transmission. Fitz, I can't even imagine having a crush on Keefe or Dex! They're like very close friends, or even brothers, to me. I knew I liked you since you helped me get through having to say goodbye to my parents. Her smile faltered at the memory, and she paused her transmission. That was one of the toughest days of my life but I meant what I said back then. I couldn't have gotten through it without you.
Fitz grinned, as he shook his head. I don't know what to say Sophie... this must be one of the best days of my li-
His transmission was cutoff mid sentence by Biana walking over to stand in front of them, an eyebrow raised and her hand on her hip.
"Fitz! Sophie! When did this happen? Ooh Edaline owes me 50 lusters now!" She smiled brightly, twirling.
Sophie slipped out of Fitz's comforting grip, getting up and putting a hand on Biana's shoulder. "Did you bet on us?" She asked her, completely shocked her own guardian would do that!
Biana laughed. "Oh yeah, Edaline said it would take 2 years for you guys to figure out your feelings a year ago. I said a few months. I'm closer. Therefore she owes me 50 lusters." She remarked happily, while Sophie gave the youngest Vacker sibling an exasperated look.
"Fitz, help me out here, would you?" She asked him and he chuckled heartily but obliged, getting up to put an arm around Sophie's shoulders shamelessly and one hand on Biana's shoulder.
"Sis, you have a problem." He said completely unhelpfully as Keefe smirked and walked up behind Biana.
"Yes she does, and that problem is called the Keefster." He joked and tackled Biana to the floor, playfully tickling her to death along with Fitz.
"Eek! Sophie make it stop! Make it stop!" Biana said, trying to wriggled out of this. Sophie giggled. "Nope, sorry Biana but you're on your own. This is what you get for betting on me and your brother." She teased and immediately joined the tickle fest.
Sophie felt completely at home, like this was where she was meant to be all along but also felt a little nostalgic for her human family. Amy, her mom, and her dad used to have similar scenarios like this one. Shaking away the sad thoughts she grinned once again and renewed her tickling. This soon turned into a pillow fight, which had Sophie and Biana on one team and Fitz and Keefe on another. Boys vs Girls.
"Biana, you get Keefe and I'll get Fitz." Sophie whispered to her and as soon as Biana nodded they leaped out of their makeshift pillow fort and attacked their best friends vigorously.
"I've got you!" Sophie exclaimed vivaciously as she batted her pillow repeatedly at Fitz. There was no way he was escaping this.
Fitz simply laughed and attacked her right back, and soon enough it ended up with her pinned to the floor in a defeated manner and Fitz grinning victoriously. Keefe was in the same position that Sophie was in. The Vackers had both been successful. Figures. Nevertheless, Sophie smiled as they went on to do more games.
An hour or so later Sophie had been beaten in every Elven game known to exist - except for Basequest of course - and was officially tired out. "Guys, let's go to bed. We can do this again some other time." She groaned and dragged herself to the princess like bedroom she was meant to use tonight. Biana agreed immediately and though Keefe and Fitz looked like they wanted to protest they eventually agreed. "Goodnight!" They all called to each other before parting ways.
Sophie smiled after climbing into her bed and pulled out Ella, falling asleep under the twinkling stars. Today had been the perfect sleepover. Her dreams were actually great for once, even though she hadn't been sleeping well after Silveny went to the Sanctuary. Only one thing was off about them... a big blue crystal was featured in every single thing she saw.
A/N: What do you guys think? I hope you liked it! One more chapter to go! Please remember that I appreciate and look at all comments, votes, and more! I love my readers <3
