“Magnus” Alec called to no response. Magnus kept walking away from him. “Magnus, please. Magnus?” Alec called again,this time tears were threatening to spill from his blue eyes.
It was clear to Alec that he was beginning to draw attention from strangers, but he did not care, all he wanted was Magnus back.
He tried again: “For the love I bear for you, turn around. Just turn around, please”; failure.
“For the love you have for me, Magnus stop!” This his voice broke, every ounce of vulnerability and pain seeping through his voice. Magnus complied but that was it. He stopped but did not turn to face Alec.
Silence fell over them; Alec was scared to say anything else in fear that it could cause Magnus to reverse his decision on not walking off.
A moment of silence, Magnus spoke: “You lied to me. You lied to me after I gave you a second chance.”
The tears finally fell down Alec’s cheeks, “I had no choice!”
“This was not the first time you betrayed me. You had a choice when you tried to play God with my life. You are not what you seem Alexander Lightwood.”
“I made mistakes, okay? I admit it I royally screwed up. But I done it all because I loved you, I still love you.”
“Did no one teach you the only thing that can truly destroy love is trust or lack thereof?”
“Magnus. Please, just turn around and give me another chance. We can make this work.”
“It’s too late. Goodbye, my love.” He began to walk off again, this time not responding to the Shadowhunter’s pleas.
