I traveled by tree to get the best views while staying hidden during the second half of the phase one section of the exam and already a few testers have caught my eye. It was a major surprise considering that 99.9% of the time they were just common and ordinary bums with big dreams and equally big egos.
Now I was watching people being eaten by the forest's exotic and strange creatures. In another part of the forest there was an ambush on one particular tester, Hisoka.
As expected, Hisoka takes them all down in a single move. If only he wasn't taking a test, I could fight him. With his pink hair and whimsical, jester-like attire, he looked like a humanoid cupcake for a clown party.
Yum.
I get distracted when Hisoka corners two poor testers. I might have to step in since they were also part of the few who piqued my interest, but it wouldn't hurt to test their skills, just a little.
The blonde, Kurapika, escapes but the ridiculously loud one, Leorio, stays, not wanting to be pushed around. Pros and cons for everything, pro being he wasn't a submissive and had balls. But in his case, he was way out of his league, although his courage was duly noted. He ends up being knocked out, pathetically I might add.
I was gonna get up and help until the little boy, Gon, had came back to help his friend. What was better is that he got a shot in with his fishing pole, surprising Hisoka. I liked him already.
He tries to get another hit in to no avail and ends getting caught at the throat. I frown. I watch as he struggles against Hisoka, filling Hisoka with bloodlust until his thrashing finally begins to slowly weaken. Hisoka stops, dropping him to the ground.
Interesting, he lets him live so he can grow up and mature in skill and combat... Same ideas as me I see, although we both have different ways of going about it.

Phase two has just begun, which was a cooking test but knowing the examiners, Menchi and Buhara, they would make it difficult.
And when everyone starts, I know everyone fails. I decide to have a little fun...
"Is there no one here that can give me what I want!?" Menchi screams, concluding her rant on their effortlessness and lack of creativity.
"Those are some high standards, but I decided to stop by to show these rookies how it's done. Being an example because I'm just that generous." I tease as I land in front of her table with a silver platter that I had covered to contain the heat. "Satisfying a Gourmet Hunter isn't an easy task."
Her eyes widen before she smirks. "Sune... The skeleton gets me every time." It was true that, in the presence of Hunters, I liked to keep my profile hidden and I used a full body "mask" of a skeleton. When I turn around, there are gasps.
As usual my skin was drawn over with pen, shading and filling in every part of my body to make a skeleton. I was in a loose, white tank top and shorts. My hair was dyed white and cut into a pixie cut, where my bangs made one side longer than the other half.
Menchi took off the cover to reveal kabobs of pork, fruits, and vegetables, neatly placed and stacked into four simple rectangle walls. She flashed me a grin before her and Buhara dug in. "Passed! It was delicious how you seasoned the pork, and it was complimented with the fruits and vegetables. It wasn't over or under cooked and your presentation was good. See? All you have to do is put effort into your work." She scolds the testers. Everyone shouts and protest before my smooth voice laughs.
"Well, I already passed this test. I just thought I should help out a little bit." I grinned at them.
"Yeah, everyone... This is Sune, a Pro Information, Contract, and Blacklist Hunter." Menchi introduces making everyone gasp and marvel. Menchi was just showing off since all three titles were tied into one another for my kind of work.
"Yo, but Menchi, Satotz is saying you can't fail all of them. Cooking is your weakness, going overboard and all. Honestly, they might be a couple of egotistical wannabes but we still gotta be fair. Even if they think they know it all, you gotta take it easy on them because they have to learn. That's why you're here." I say, taking a pillow and laying on it on the floor, supporting one leg on my knee.
"Hey! What did you call us!?" They shout and I peak an eye at them.
"You lack knowledge of what it takes to be a Hunter and the pride in being one. Gourmet Hunters are no laughing division. They are some crazy ones. That's why I stay on Menchi's good side. If you don't show some respect to them, you might as well be a pig and skewer yourself." I say only half joking as I took the bare skewers I used and threw them at the crowd. Everyone, except Menchi and Buhara, gasps.
The many skewers were lined in a perfect row, right before the crowd of people started. "Impressed?" I smirk at them but a loudmouth steps forward.
"Yeah but, why do you expect us to take someone as insignificant as a mere Gourmet Hunter seriously?" I give a low whistle at the fat guys blow to their division.
"Would you like roses or lilies for your funeral?" I ask just as Menchi glares at them.
"Well it sucks that you're stuck with a "mere Gourmet Hunter" as an examiner. It doesn't change that you fail. Better luck next year?" The fat guy is immediately angry but Menchi just crosses her legs, closing her eyes.
"What did you say!? We want to be Hunters, we won't listen and let silly Gourmet Hunters order us around!" He shouts and charges at us with a fist. I just sigh as Buhara just swats him backward.
"Don't interfere." She scolds looking away, unaffected.
"You would've killed him, right?" Buhara points out making me chuckle.
"None of you are worth my time, nor are you ready for a fight. Bye, Menchi. After a closer look, I feel bad for the sorry bunch. Plus the chairman is gonna come down, so I better scram before I get in trouble. See ya." I mock salute before taking off. They gasp, not seeing where I went.
Well, there was Hisoka but he wasn't into letting someone live after they've been beaten so... No. It would only injure his pride when I let him live after shaming him.

I didn't stay to see through the rest of the exam even though I heard the end was exciting. Sadly Killua, Gon's white haired friend, got disqualified after some business thanks to an acquaintance of mine, Illumi, who happened to be Killua's brother.
I was called for a job which was the real reason why I left. I cleaned up and now clean of ink. I wore dark jeans, a loose white shirt, and a green army jacket. My now dark hair was now reaching my waist and I blew a few strands from my face as I put a hand on my hip. I looked at him from the corner of my eyes letting my dark eyes chill his trembling figure.
"All you gotta do is sign."
