I was doing one of my favorite things, watching matches at Heaven's Arena. Usually it was rare to find real talent that wasn't luck or brute strength but to my excitement, Gon, Killua, and the cupcake were here.
The rematch between Gon and Gido had just finished, leaving Gon with a win. I just stayed in the hallway, sitting against the wall with my legs out. I still had a half can of juice left since I spent most of my time fawning over Gon's improvement. Plus I still haven't eaten the cupcake I had made.
I was drinking when they were walking this way, minus Hisoka. They walked and talked and I saw they didn't notice me, as expected, but came closer. I knew what was gonna happen next at this rate.
Killua, who was closest to me, stepped on top of my leg causing him to trip forward. I use my other leg to stop his fall, surprising him. "Killua!" Gon exclaims in shock.
Killua quickly jumps back off of me with, probably unnerved that he didn't notice me. "I- I didn't notice you there. Sorry." He says, partially lost in thought.
"It's fine," I say calmly. "But you ruined my cupcake." I point to the smashed pink mess under his shoe making him shout in surprise.
"How did I miss that!?" I let out a soft chuckle and hold out my napkins to him.
"Here, clean off your shoe." He nods in thanks, sitting down to clean his shoe and floor of the frosting.
"Congrats on your win, it was a good match. Your power and potential is vary evident. I know you'll be great." I smile up at Gon.
"Thank you, I'm sorry he stepped on your leg and then your cupcake." He apologizes for Killua making Killua scowl at him.
"It's fine, the face he made when he saw he killed my cupcake was priceless." I laugh, holding up my phone to reveal the picture I took of him looking down in pure shock at the cupcake. Gon laughs and Killua scowls even harder.
"Fine, since I stepped on your cupcake." He mutters and I stand up laughing.
"Honestly, I guess it was my fault since I sat out here with my legs out. Sorry, 'bout that. I'm Kat, by the way." I throw my empty can in the near bin with a sigh.
"Nice to meet you. I'm Gon, this is my friend Killua. Do you want us to buy you another one?" He offers but I shake my head.
"No it's fine. I baked it myself so I have more up on my floor. Want one? I made a dozen." I offer and Gon's eyes instantly brighten.
"Really? Killua, can we go?" Then I remember something.
"Oh, it's already around lunch. I can make lunch for us if you want so I don't spoil your mealtime." I shrug and Gon looks even more excited.
"You sure? You just met us and all..." Killua says trying to figure out my motives. I have to grin at that.
"No need for skepticism, Killua. My reasoning is because I wanna see how strong you two are. I don't wanna fight, just curiosity." I shrug, still waiting for confirmation.
"Well, I guess..." Killua says and I grin.
"But you'll probably hate this..." I say as we get into the elevator.
"What?" They ask and I reach out and press my floor number making them gawk.
"Really!? That's your floor!?" Gon's mouth is gaping.
"There's 251 floors, and you're on level 250!?" Killua shouts making me rub my neck, not sure if I should be embarrassed.
"Yeah, I know it's a long way. I keep missing Battle Olympia. I have better things to do than trying to get that penthouse above me. But hey, one less floor." I smile and they sweatdrop.
