Joey had left to go meet up with the guys of Slipknot at the recording studio maybe two hours ago. He said that the band would probably come over for dinner and he asked me if I could order some pizzas to which I obliged. He felt bad and kept double checking with me to see if I was fine with it. I couldn't be afraid of seeing Corey forever. I wasn't going to be the one known as the drama starter.

I had ordered a few pizzas and set them all on the island table in Joey's kitchen. I made a caesar salad to go with it, put out some vegetable and dip, and stocked Joey's fridge up with beer, hard liquor, and soda.

I poured myself a jack and coke with way more jack in it than just a shot. I was going to need it to calm down my nerves, that's for sure.

I sat down on the couch and turned on the tv and began flipping through the channels. I just settled on an re run of Jerry Springer seeing as there was literally nothing on tv.

Moments later, I heard the front door swing open and a bunch of voices talking about setlists, cities, and girls.

I tried not to roll my eyes when I heard Corey's voice. Keep it together Olivia.

"Babe? I'm home and I brought the band with me" Joey hollered, earning some laughs.

"Dinner's on the table and booze is in the fridge!" I yelled right back, not moving from my spot. My statement had earned some cheers.

"You've got yourself a keeper there Joey" someone chuckled.

"Yeah she's alright" Joey replied, I could tell by his voice he was kidding.

It didn't take long for everyone to get their food and drinks together and join me in the living room.

"Hey you must be Olivia! I'm Sid" a guy with medium length black hair who didn't look like he was much taller than me greeted me instantly with a big smile.

"Yep that's me, hey Sid!" I smiled back.

One by one the rest of the band introduced themselves to me and Jim kept staring at me funny, to which Chris pointed out.

"It's just I knew a girl named Olivia back in high school but she kinda disappeared."

I felt my throat tighten slightly at his words. I felt like such a bad person. "That was me."

The room fell silent.

Jim eyes had widened at my words. "Liv! I was so worried about you! I'm so glad you're okay and holy shit you've grown up"

"I need another drink" Corey muttered, more to himself, but I still heard him.

. . .

Jim and I had caught up for a while now and I had gotten to know the band better. They were all really funny and nice guys. I couldn't wait to see them perform. They told me how they all wore these messed up looking masks which sounded interesting to me. However, I wasn't looking forward to seeing Shaun's mask. Clowns scare me really bad okay?

"I'm just going out for a smoke" I whispered in Joey's ear. He gave me a stern look as a response to which I rolled my eyes at. He could be a real hypocrite sometimes. I gave him a kiss on the cheek and headed for the front door.

I let out a sigh as I sat down on one of the many steps and pulled out a cigarette from its pack and my lighter. I lit it up and inhaled, seeming to calm down almost instantly.

"Joey let's you smoke?" I turned around to see Corey standing over me. I couldn't really read the expression in his eyes seeing as it had gotten darker outside.

"He's not my mother" I stated blankly, taking another drag of my cigarette.

Wordlessly, Corey sat down beside me. He took my cigarette from me and took a drag from it himself. I did nothing, I didn't want to upset him. I was tense because of how close he was to me.

It felt like an eternity had passed before he had finally spoken two words. "Why him?"

I let out a shaky breath. Why was I so intimidated by him? Oh yeah, because of what happened fourteen years ago.

"I really like him." I said vaguely.

Corey snorted at my reply. "Well I really like pop tarts, doesn't mean I'm going to start having sex with them."

I couldn't help but laugh at his statement. He was trying to bug me, I knew it, but I couldn't help but laugh. I looked at him and he looked as if he was biting back a smile.

"Well he's actually the first guy I've been serious about since... well, in a long time," I took my cigarette back from him and took a drag before continuing. "he's been patient with me, looking out for me. I don't know, he's a much better guy than what he let's people see"

"I never said he wasn't a good guy. Just why did you have to go and get with one of my friends? Are you trying to get back at me?" Corey asked.

"Do you really think that lowly of me?" I retorted.

"You were the one that ran away"

"You're the one that fucking broke me!" I shouted, finally letting out some of my anger.

We both fell silent. I had never yelled at him before. It's not my thing.

I finally spoke up. "Let's just try and be civil or ignore each other. Which ever one is easier. I'm not dragging anyone else into this. I just want to support Joey and my new friends on your tour this month. After that, you won't ever need to see me again." and with that, I threw out my cigarette and headed back into Joey's house.

Oh my god what was I getting myself into?

. . .

A/N: Oh you thought they were going to get back together in this chapter. YOU THOUGHT WRONG.

I'm sorry I'm such an asshole but prepare yourself for this book man, you are going to hate me so much.

But have a good day babes and thanks for reading!
