Chapter nine: Beware those closest to you

The cathedral of Light is the only home safe for our kind, it is invisible to the human eye. Many do not believe it exist at it, it is located in New York. East of Manhattan, the Silent Priests are responsible of building this mystical cathedral. They are a celestial specie that keep the City of New York safe from evil vampires and other supernatural laws, there is laws that vampires and other have to follow. when broken the law, they will immediately get captured and sent to prison. The Cathedral of light is mystical, the magic of the cathedral is aware. It is almost sentient, it can take forms and shape of objects.

    Because it is aware, it knows the presence of an evil being and block them from entering the cathedral. An evil being can only enter the cathedral if the celestial magic of the cathedral let them through. Or if the Silent Priests allows them in.

    Sometimes, if an evil being tries to force himself in; he or she would pissed off the celestial magic of the cathedral. It will act and disintegrated them immediately,  and then bring them back to life if it want to.

        Serena ( the name of the celestial magic that is aware, protector of the Cathedral of Light), she knows everything that people don't even know about themselves. 

  Supernatural beings that live within the cathedral, if few are becoming corrupted; Serena would be aware of that and take care of them before even they unleash the evil within themselves.

      It knows everything, it is neither she or he. But in conversion we consider it as she, and named her Serena. 

     The prison for the trouble makers is on the last floor underground, the prison cells are incredible and well guarded by Serena.

   When you go under there, and see the prison cells. They look very small, but then you wonder how thousands prisoners would fit in. While, the Cathedral of Light prison cells are bewitched to change sizes. Thousands prisoners can fit in one cell, each with their own bedroom and shower room. At twelve O' clock is when we feed the prisoners. Their is maids around to serve them things to consume, Serena do all the work. When a prison need to feed, he or she all they have to do is think of what kind of food they want to consume; food they want to consume will appear out of no where. Endless food, the prison cells are also bewitched to bring kind of food the prisoners what to consume to reality. Even as they're prisoners, the Silent priests treat them with respect and give the everything they want to eat.

     The prisoners don't have time to think about escaping, because they get everything they want. They just have to think of that think, and then it will come to reality.

    The magic of the cathedral can release you if it sees that you have changed, it will release and transport you back to your home. Days later, if you begin doing bad stuff again. Serena will bring you back into your prison cell, that is why when a prison have a change of heart and get release; they do not do wicked stuff again because they know they will be transported back into their prison cell back to the Cathedral of Light. 

 The Silent Priests, they travel around the world looking for special people and bring them to the Cathedral where they get trained to become heroes. They becomes knights after they finish their training, the Silent Priests would honor them with heavenly forged knight swords and blades. 

    Sometimes the Silent Priests bring humans outcasts children to the cathedral, they would trained them in light magic. 

I learn few light magic from the Silent Priests, the Cathedral of Light is like a school for people with gifts; teenagers and adults.

   I'm an Aswang, from the 10th century in the future. I am half-Aswang, that's why a appear more human. As an aswang, I can cast spells and illusions. I'm trained in many kind of magic, I'm two-hundred times strong and faster than a vampire and a wolf.
