Chapter 9

The end of the party was a dazze in her mind, she remembers laughing a lot about everything, the face of Ahsley, Chuck came back to her, and of course Alex. Chace had taken her home and smuggle her silently into her room, it was not the time to be caught high, even if Gram wasn't here. Lying in bed, she tried to reconnected the dot when her phone ring, a text. « We'll pick you up at 2 p.m. Freedoom start now. A ».

Vanessa was ready at 11a.m., she just couldn't stay still, wandering what was plan. During lunch, she keeped looking at her watch and eated everything without actually chewing. Finally, it was time, she was on the porch, cheecking the street for any mouvement. Five minutes later, a car appeared at the end of the road, and stopped right in front of their house, followed by a second vehicule. The first one was occupied by Chuck driving, Ashley by her side. Alex was driving the second one sitting next to his sister.Chace went to seat on the back seat of Chace car, and Vanessa decided to join the other one. Both car at their roof down, and music on.

- So, did you find your bed last night ? ask Isabelle as both car departed.

- I think so, my mind has some dark spot. Admitted the Princess

- Get used to it said back her friend laughing.

- So where are we going ?

In the rear wiew mirrow, she say Alex smiling at her

- It is a suprise. he simply answered.

As if he wanted to avoid anymore question, he turn the music on and both sibling started singing along, Alex marking the tempo on the steering wheel. The trip took 20 minutes, they ended up in the country side next to the city.

- The rest has to be done by foot said Alex as he turn the contact off.

The group walked, talking about last night party. Apparently, Chace and Vanessa got home a little bit before it ended. Everyone decided to go to a club and finish the night there. They stayed there till the morning and sleeped till midday. After a 5 minutes walk, they ended up on a brige where a tent stoop up with men carried all kind of rope and other stuff Vanessa never saw in her life.

- Bungee jumping !

- What ? No ! Never ! screamed vanessa.

Few moments later, she was on the end of the brige, wearing all kind of protection. She stared frightend at the rope suposed to hold her, then to the hole in front of her feet. She couldn't do it, she would die. She didn't want to end up dangling in the air a few feet from the floor. And what if the rope brooke, or something else went wrongh ? God, she hated her new friends. She must have looked scared because Alex came up to her and whispered in her ear.

- Don't think, just do !

And he punshed her.

From that point, everything went very fast. Everyday went a new activity. On the second day, the girls went shooping, Ashley had point out that Vanessa was ready for a make over. The boys refused to come with them, saying they always ended up carrying the bags so they stayed home. Chace went his own way to see friends, and the girls couldn't help speaculating that « friends »meant really close girl. It was like the scene in that movie about a rich man falling in love with a prostituted. I swear that I don't remember it name, it my come back later. Anyways, they spend the afternoon laughing their heart out trying all kind of clothes, ended up wearing the most hideous thing they could find. When Vanessa had bought enough clothes to fill twice her closet back home, they decided to go tan in their new bikinis by the pool. The house was empty, the guys must had gone somewhere, getting tired of waiting for them. After a while, Alex showed up, looking amazed by everything he saw, when he spotted the girls he went to sit by them them started laughing all by himself.
