Nialls POV

Taken aback by the sudden contact of Millie's lips against mine, I freeze. When she pulls away, I see a slightly disappointed look on her face. She shyly shuffles back to her place in the circle, twiddling her fingers in shame. The truth is, she shouldn't be ashamed. She did what Ava and the lads told her to. I just wished she knew how much I'd enjoyed it.

"Way to go, Nialler!" I hear one of the boys yell and they all chorus different forms of praise as they slap my back and high-five me. I look apologetically at Millie, but she avoids my gaze, still looking down into her lap.

The room soon fills with silence, Millie still not looking up. "Um, so, what should we do now?" Ava asks, fully aware of how awkwardly Millie is acting. I  mentally thank her for breaking the silence. All of the boys shrug, also catching on that Millie is being strange.

"Ava and I should probably go, my aunt and uncle will be wondering where we've gone," Millie mutters, beginning to stand up, and grab her purse. I stand up too, along with Ava.

"Ok, thanks for coming over, guys," I say, walking towards the hotel room door and opening it. Ava smiles at me, nodding her head in thanks before walking out. Millie whispers in my ear a quick, "Sorry," before she hurriedly rushes out the door. I stand there, confused for a moment. Why was she sorry?

I closed the door and walked back over to the guys, only to find them all staring right at me. Louis has an evil smirk playing on his face before he starts singing, "Millie and Niall sitting in a tree!"

I shoot him a deadly glare, telling him that he should stop immediately. He ignores it.

"K-I-S-S-I-N-G!" All the boys chorus before erupting into heaps of laughter. I pout at them, folding my arms and slumping down on the floor next to Harry. He nudges me with his shoulder affectionately and giggles.

"I don't think so," I say quietly, lowering my head. I hear more giggles from the boys, clearly seeing the blush forming on my usually pale cheeks.

"C'mon, Niall!" Harry shouts, "You can tell just by the way you look at her! You're in looooooove!" Harry says in a husky voice, wiggling his eyebrows at me, only making the boys laugh harder.

"Ok, maybe I do like Millie a little bit," I say much to Louis' liking, "but I don't think she likes me back anyway," I say, slouching at the words that make my heart sink. They boys are all looking at me with confused expressions. They don't get it.

"What d'ya mean?" Zayn asks, and Liam says, "Yeah, she was the one who kissed YOU! She fucking kissed you, Niall!"

"It was a dare," I say bluntly.

"She could've easily said no!" Harry exclaims, raising his hands above his head, indicating his frustration.

"I know, but after. She acted all ashamed, and she didn't look at me. I know you guys noticed it too, and right before she left, she said 'sorry' to me," I complain, tears beginning to line the bottom of my eyes. I can't cry. They boys will never stop teasing me about the time I cried over a girl.

"Niall, she was nervous. She obviously likes you, she was worried that you wouldn't feel the same way. Anyone could've seen that!" Louis explains, hands on his hips. I raise an eyebrow at the other guys, silently asking them if it was true. They all nodded their heads and reassuringly smiled at me. I smiled back.

Millie's POV

"He hates me, Ava. He hates me!" I whine as we step into the elevator, and she presses her thumb into the bottom labelled 'G' for ground.

"No he doesn't, Millie!" Ava chuckles, sighing at my helplessness, and gently shaking her head.

"Did you see how he acted when I kissed him?" I say, raising my voice slightly, "He froze, Ava! He hated it!"

She reassuringly places a hand on my shoulder.
"Millie, he didn't expect what you were about to do. He thought you'd say no. Honestly, I didn't thing you'd go through with my dare. It's unlike you to be so, uh, wild," Ava says, wiggling her eyebrows at the last word. I elbow her, tutting at her for her inappropriate behaviour.

"Maybe you're right," I sigh, running my hands through my hair, deep in thought. Maybe he really does like me. He didn't look to upset when I pulled away. He actually seemed quite pleased. Shocked, but pleased.

"I always am!" Ava says, as if what she just stated was blindly obvious. I giggle at her response, and head out of the elevator right after the doors slide open. I spot my aunt and uncle, still sitting in the lobby, both on their phones.

"Girls, your back!" My uncle says excitedly. "Did you have a good explore of the place?" He asks. His question takes me aback slightly, and I look at him confused. Ava elbows me, reminding me that we didn't tell them about seeing the boys.

"Oh, uh, yeah, it's great!" I stutter pretty unconvincingly. Ava sighs just quietly enough that only I can hear.

"It's beautiful, Mr Colt. I can't wait to go down to the beach!" Ava says, the lies easily flowing out of her mouth. Lying is one of Ava's greatest talents. It comes so naturally to her. Not to me.

"Awesome! Well, our room is ready now, we can go get settled," my aunt says, standing up and collecting her bags. I grab my suitcase, and so do my uncle and Ava. We walk over to the lift, and make out early up to the room. My aunt uses the key-card to swipe access to our room. The door beeps, and Ava swings it open, revealing a spacious, modern looking room, filled with stunning artwork on the walls, and bright lights illuminating the space. A wide glass sliding door stands in front of a huge balcony with a coffee table, and 4 sun chairs. The view of the sapphire sea stretching out for miles, takes my breath away. The intense light beaming down from the sun reflects off of the sea's rippling surface, making it look like the water is scattered with polished diamonds. The sand is filled with families laying on their towels, soaking up the warmth of the sun's blazing rays, and small children building sandcastles with brightly coloured buckets and spades. I whip out my phone to take a picture, and capture the pure moment forever. A small buzz interrupts me, and I check my phone, only to see a new text message.

Niall:
Hey Millie, hope you made it to your room ok. It looks like this summer's gonna be great. Meet up tomorrow?

I nervously hover my fingertips over the keyboard, writing and re-writing a text message. When I realise that I just can't get the wording right, I show my phone to Ava. She giggles and whispers in my ear, "My little love sick puppy," and types a few letters into my phone. She switches it off and hands it to me, a knowing smile appearing on her face. I turn my phone on to see what Ava sent.

Millie:
Sounds great xx
