*Winnie's PoV*
Ben and I sat there in the library. Ben was using my phone while I was reading Maximum Ride. When suddenly Ben decided to break the silence
"Hey Winnie mind telling me why you were really avoiding me?" Ben asked me.
"Huh?" I looked up at him confused. I was hoping that he would buy the lie I told him. I thought he did.
"You know what I said." Ben said putting my phone down and looking over at me.
"I have no idea what you are talking about." I said.
"You know exactly what I'm talking about." Ben retorted. "Why hav-"
Ben got cut off by the bell going off singling it time for school to end. I gave him a weak smile and picked up my things speed walking to the exit as I waved bye to the Librarian Ms. Smith.
I had decided to walk home from school since it wasn't too far off. And I could make a stop at the small Asian corner store on the way there and buy myself some pocky.
I felt kind of bad that I had left Ben there hanging. But I am not ready to tell him how I feel. I am not even sure if my feelings are strong enough.
I was lost in my thoughts when suddenly I felt something watching me. I tried to be cautious as I walked down the side walk.
Suddenly a large grinning dog had started running in my direction. I freaked out and ran down the street as fast as I could. People just kept staring at me oddly and they themselves ran out of the way to avoid the huge dog running after me.
I saw the park forest to my left and ran into it trying to keep the dog from hurting the other people. Because I was pretty sure I was being chased down by Smile Dog. The only reason I was able to identify it is because I've been reading so many of those creepypastas.
I quickly ran down the hiking trail and started taking the small trails. My bookbag was thumping against my back making it uncomfortable to run. Thank god I didn't wear a skirt today.
As I was running I bumped into a girl accidently knocking her over. Smile dog was getting closer so I helped the girl up and took off my bookbag and flung it at him.
"Run!" I yelled as ran off with the girl in tow.
I'm pretty sure the girl was currently hella confused but I'm not stopping to check.
I ran off the trails and just straight into the woods trying to lose the dog with all those twist and turns. All of sudden I heard Smile Dog whine. I sure as hell wasn't going to turn around to see what it was. That was till I heard a familiar voice call out.
