You.
"I heard they don't eat over there." Taylor says as she looks around.
"They don't." I tell her, causing her to gasp loudly. "Do you know how I had to bribe people so I could come and get some food?"
"Girl I can't have you dying of hunger over there." Taylor says sympathetically as she places a hand on my arm. "Listen... just quit and come home. I'll make sure that you eat everyday."
"Listen. It's not about starving or anything." I stab my salad with a fork. "It's about the fact that if I quit now, it will prove to my mother that I cannot handle pressure and that I need to be under her wing 24/7. And I don't need that."
Taylor just pouts with me.
"And trust me. I want to get out of the house and be independent very soon." I tell her honestly.
She nods. "So how are things going between you and your boothang?" She asks with a smirk.
"Not good." I admit. "I haven't seen her in a while."
"Another reason to quit this stupid job of running errands and getting her coffee every day. It pains me to see you like this babe."
"It's not only the job that prevents me from seeing her." I grumble. "It's also the fact that she's busy. Like I haven't seen her in legit six days and its killing me."
"Aww. Don't be sad. You'll see her soon."
"Hopefully." I scoff, putting some salad into my mouth, eating and swallowing. "But between her job, and mine, I don't see that happening."
"Your family is so damn rich." Taylor laughs. "I say that you and Dinah get married and get a house and have kids and live happily ever after off of your damn trust fund."
"I wish it was that easy." I tell her honestly. "But even if that does happen, I'm not able to sit around and wait for her to be done with her job and shit."
"Are you actually re - thinking this relationship?" Taylor asks me as she catches me looking intently at the ground.
"I'm not rethinking it." I defend myself. "I'm just thinking about it. Is it even possible that we're able to be together?"
"People don't have to be together all day Y/N." She tells me and takes a sip of her apple juice. "Stop over thinking and eat before you go back and starve yourself."
I roll my eyes and finish my salad in record time before I get a demanding text.
Mommy (14:21) : Where the hell are you?
I roll my eyes and throw away the empty container and plastic utensils before kissing my friend on the cheek and bidding her farewell.
"I'm going to see you later. Okay?" I tell her as she throws away her happy meal box.
"Okay. And don't starve." She says, handing me a chocolate bar. "This is for when you're really dying." She looks around before slipping me her toy.
"What?"
"This is an angry birds shooter. Use it for when you really need it." She says discreetly, causing me to chuckle.
I laugh and give her a hug. "I couldn't ask for a better friend. Could I?"
"Bitch you thought."
After saying goodbye to Tay, I get in my car and don't even turn the radio on because I have to get back to the office so quickly.
As soon as I pull up in the parking lot, one of my mother's employees ambush me.
"What do you want John?" I ask the blonde haired boy as I lock my car and put all the possessions in my handbag before closing it and walking towards the building.
