Chapter 36 Brian's Second Night
Brian's POV:
I said my goodbye to Sean as I finally made it home. I think I had fast walked home barely even talking to Sean as I made my trip home. Once the safe feeling of being inside my house made, I just wanted to relax and sleep. So once my phone was connected to the charger, I laid down on the bed to just sleep away my stress.
It wasn't until sometime later that I heard my phone ringing. I groggily wiped my eyes and I pulled the phone from the charger. It was Sean. I was tempted to let it just go to voicemail but decided to answer the call. I mean he could have something important to say.
"Hello," I said sleepily.
"Brian you're still asleep," Sean asked and I groaned.
"Of course you didn't have to stay up all night to stop robots from fucking entering your room," I said angrily and he chuckles.
"I know but I was with you every step of the way," Sean said and I grumbled.
"Because it was like fucking 8 am where you are," I said and I could feel his smile from the phone.
"Well of course and I got up just a little earlier to prep you," he said and I groaned.
"I'm still tired call me back when it's time to go," I said really wanting to go back to sleep.
"But isn't it 11 pm for you," Sean asked confused and I checked the time.
"Holy shit why didn't you tell me," I said scrambling up to get ready.
"Because I thought you knew all," Sean said sarcastically and I groaned.
"Whatever Sherlock," I said checking myself over in the mirror.
Hanging up the phone I quickly made my way to the restaurant hoping that I would have time to read the book that Dially has gave me. I know it as rude of me to cut off Sean but this was very necessary. I sighed as the air was nice and cool. It was very peaceful and calm.
I actually wanted to spend time looking around the city at night because of how beautiful it looks. Maybe when I'm done with this I'll take a stroll out in the dark and hope I don't get shanked by a random criminal. Yeah that would be an interesting thing to do.
I looked sadly at what's ahead of me as I have to go through the dreaded night two. It makes me wonder how many of my friends made it past night 2? I don't really want to think about it, now that I'm thinking about it. This time it was just Dially and she held the book again.
"I forgot to tell you were the book would be kept but it's usually in the drawer," she said as she handed me the book.
"Thanks I guess," I said gripping onto the book hard.
I wanted to ask her more about Brock, but I just stayed silent as she was talking about the night. There is nothing more than wanting to know what happened to him. Sean is such a really good friend but... I think Brock means more to me than just a friend.
"Alright any questions," she said cheerfully as I hadn't paid any attention.
"Nope," I said and gave her a smile.
"Alright Brian well I have to head off see ya," Dially said and she walked to the parking lot to her car.
I sighed and then pulled out my phone. I saw the time was 11:45 which gives me enough time to look at the book and prepare my mind for what's to come. I unlocked my phone and I called Sean, who's probably mad at me for suddenly hanging up on him.
