C26 Taehyeon surprise!

heyyy finally I recovered !! okay so here's a chapter immediately after I got well. hope u enjoy!

KAI POV
"How's the surprise party for Taehyeon going?" I ask Suho.

"I've already told the members what you planned to do, and they're ready."

"Perfect!" I flash a broad smile.

Just then, Baekhyun walked in and questioned, "What surprise party?"

Sehun said, "Taehyeon's birthday celebration, baek."

"How come I didn't know?"

I started to get annoyed, "If you're always with Tae, how do we talk about this with you?"

I felt a sense of jealousy in my words. I'm pretty sure Baekhyun sensed it too, when he rolled his eyes.

"When is it?"

"This evening."

"So soon! And you Guys didn't even breathe a word about this party to me," Baekhyun 'whined'

I said, "you have 3 more hours to the party you know."

"Mwo?!!? Dammit." he said as he ran out of the dorm.

BAEKHYUN POV

As I ran to the nearest mall- Dongdaewon Mall, many thoughts flashed into my mind.

If I didn't overhear their conversation, were they not going to tell me?
Okay, forget about that.
What should I buy for Tae?

I entered Dongdaewon mall and passed by the jewelry shop.

Aha! I can buy her the necklace she wanted.

Hurriedly, I picked up the necklace.

"I'll take this, charge it to this mall please, thank you." Although I was in a rush, manners always comes first.

bAck at the dorm....

KAI POV

"Hey Taehyeon!" I say upon seeing her exit from her room.

I exchanged glances with the other members, trying to think of a solution to get Taehyeon out of this place.

"We're all taking a rest now. Since you did so much work too, you deserve a rest," Xiumin added," Pick someone to go with you."

I see Taehyeon thinking hard before she answered, "Lay, please."

TAEHYEON POV

I felt that I needed to know Lay more, considering the fact that he is always studying.

Walking down the pavement with Lay was pretty awkward but he started the conversation.

"Happy birthday."

That took me by surprise. "How did you know it was my birthday?"

"I'm a genius after all," he giggled.

"Well, maybe that's true," I grinned from ear to ear, before asking, "do the rest know?"

That sounded so retarded, I know.

"I doubt those dudes would ever  know or even care."

"And here I was thinking they would throw some surprise party for me," I 'sighed'.

I see Lay flinch as he stammered, "Haha... In your dreams."

KAI POV

"Alright! everything is done!" I shouted, feeling satisfied with our work.

Streamers were hung up, balloons were floating everywhere(practically), and the food was laid on the table in an orderly way.

"Lay messaged, they're coming back soon," Chanyeol informed.

"Light up the candles ! Turn off the lights. Hide in your designated spots, please," I ordered.

I waited excitedly for the appearance of the birthday girl, Taehyeon.
