-i pull the brake once i've parked my car at the basement. i turn off the engine, grab my bag, a notebook, also my coffee that i bought this morning. this is my first day as an intern after a couple of months being an unemployment so i can't fuck this one up. i got accepted to one of the biggest hotel in london and my parents are pretty proud of me even though i'm not sure if i'll get this job because to be honest, i'm very clumsy and lazy. it took me four months to actually got up from my bed in the morning and started to look for some jobs after i'm done with college.
i walk through the lobby and go straight to the elevator before it closed behind me. i punch number five and wait at the corner in silent. my heart is pounding right now because i don't know any of them and i'm a social awkward. what if they hate me and i ended up being a loner in this building? what if i messed up and got rejected right after? because, really, looking for a job nowadays is so damn hard. or what if the owner is a stuck up bitch that i couldn't handle so i decided to pour my coffee all over her?
thinking about all the worst possibilities, i didn't realize that i've missed my floor and reached the top floor, making me have to wait another seems to endless minutes to reach my floor again. before the door closed, a guy comes and slips his hand inside, the door automatically opens as he steps his foot inside and stand across from me. i stare at the ground as i can feel his eyes through me all the way up and down. i want to snap at him because he isn't helping at all. he only makes my heart pounds even faster than before so i stare at the ground and play with my nails, waiting for this damn elevator to work faster because this guy's stare can't stop sending shivers through my body.
all of the sudden, this fucking elevator stops. just like that, it stops working, so does my heart. i try to punch the button several times but it's no use so i sigh and step back, leaning my back to the wall.
"are you new?" i jump at the sound of a raspy voice, loosen my grip on my cup of coffee.
"holy fuck," i curse silently, "y- yes." now my shirt is a bit ruined by the coffee stain.
"what are you doing at the fifth floor?" he asks again. now i know what god sounds like.
"i'm an intern." i don't bother to look up. his voice actually quite scares me.
"don't you have any manner?" excuse me? "look at the person's eyes when they're talking to you." his tone is sharp, making my knees go weak.
i look up and finally get a clear view of his face and God, did i die last night? because i'm pretty sure i see jesus right here, right now, standing in front of me. he has this perfect jaw lines that makes his face shaped perfectly, a quiffed brown curly hair and a pair of intense, shining green eyes to die for. he wears a white shirt with black suit covering it, making me have to hold myself from ripping it off of his body.
"they did not accept you to stare at me like that." he snaps, breaking me from my thoughts.
"s-sorry," i stutter a bit, cursing myself for it.
with all seriousness, who is he? he looks like that kind of guy that can ruin my soul.
i'm into that.
"how old are you?" he asks, taking a step closer to me and stare at me blatantly all the way up and down. i don't move from my position. his jaws are clenched, furrowing his eyebrows at me.
"twenty-two." actually, keeping my head down is way much better than looking at him because he scares the fuck out of me.
"do you know who i am?" he asks again.
