"so what should i give harry for his birthday?" i ask cole who's currently at my apartment.

"the guy can buy the whole world, what else would you give him?" cole jokes, blowing out the smoke out of his mouth.

"i fucking know that." i almost snap.

cole stays silent, rubbing his chin. "what do you think he likes?"

"scaring people?" i joke. cole laughs.

"i fucking know that." he mimicks me, causing me to laugh even more.

"seriously, what should i give him?" i sigh. "just like you said, the guy can buy the whole world."

"what did you give him last christmas?" he asks.

"a pentax and a journal." i shrug, lighting my cigarette.

cole stays silent for a minute before clicking his fingers. "give him something he can't get from this world."

i tilt my head to the side, "be more specific."

"make something?" he advises.

"a child?" i joke again, trying to keep a straight face.

"from whom, you fucktard?" hole bursts of laughter, making kenzo wakes up from his sleep.

"i'll probably buy him a wristwatch." i sigh. cole sends me a look, "the guy has lots of wristwatch and car. there is no way i can buy him a car when all the cars inside his garage are such bugatti, porsche, aston martin-you name it."

"and you do know that his wristwatches are such audemars piguet, paltek philippe, vacheron constantin-you name it, right?" he arcs an eyebrow at me.

"well, fuck!" i curse. "what did your ex give you on your birthday?" i ask.

"virginity?" he jokes. this time, i am the one who burts of laughter. "i'm kidding!" he laughs, "i have never had a girlfriend on my birthday."

"pity," i jokingly say, he flips me off immediately. "i'd probably ask dad later."

-

me and my father decided to have lunch together on thursday and since harry's birthday is two days away, i'm really afraid i still can't get him anything for his birthday when the guy had literally given me so much.

"you really love this guy, don't you?" dad chuckles. "i mean, you have never asked me this kind of question before so i'm guessing what he has in mind about you is really prominent to you."

i smile at dad, "i really do love this guy."

"your mother announced her pregnancy of you on my birthday, i still think that was the best gift ever," he memories and i still can't stop the smile from my face. "but that doesn't mean you should do the same..." he trails.

"i get it!" i laugh.

"i mean, having a child -- especially a daughter is the best gift from God to any man in this world. you taught me how to be better in everything and made me believe love at the first sight," he continues. "i still can recall the first time i held you, you were very small i thought i was gonna drop you." he chuckles at the end. "time flies and look at you, i still don't want to believe that you're a woman now."

"come on, do you really want to make me cry?" i ask.

he chuckles at me, "now you have someone who you really love and i hope he can love you as much as i do."

"father's love to his daughter can never be beaten by anything." i remind him.

"that is suprisingly correct," he smiles softly at me. "what do you see in harry five years from now?" he asks.
