"you forgot?!" cole shrieks.

"it's england, not america!" i defend myself.

"i'll pick you up at four, alright?" he asks.

"okay," i answer before hanging up. i forgot that today is thanksgiving since i didn't live with my parents anymore and cole just happened to call me at seven in the morning, reminding what day today is.

"what's wrong, scarlette?" harry asks. we're currently at my apartment to get me changed before we go to the hotel.

"i forgot today is thanksgiving," i run my fingers through my hair.

"oh, i remember cole is american," harry nods.

"he's going to pick me up at four today, i'll probably get a bottle of wine on our way there," i shrugg.

"i will take care about the wine thing?" harry offers.

"it's okay," come to think about it, "do you want to join our thanksgiving dinner?" i ask.

"i have a meeting today at six. sorry, babe." he sighs. "but call me when you are done."

"cole will give me a ride, for sure," i curl my mouth.

"no, i will pick you up. just call me," he argues with stern voice.

"alright, calm down," i roll my eyes.

niall said i can go after i'm done with everything. he told me to contact a few numbers to make sure they're going to attend tomorrow's meeting  for the sake of his new branch. after that, i still have to go to some mall to buy all the things on the list niall have given me for his little nephew's birthday called theo that will be held next monday. he also wanted me to book a place for theo's birthday, although it's a bit late because monday is five days away but i guess i can use the power of his name for it.

niall told me to use his driver and as i finished fulfilling a couple of things from theo's birthday wish, i asked niall's driver to help me move the things i've bought. i had to go to so many malls to find the things theo needs but i guess i can't complete it today since i haven't visited any restaurants to be booked.

by four o'clock, i've booked a restaurant called tagine, i also have given the decoration niall wants and the food that must to be ready by the day. i hurriedly walk to the car so i can go back to the hotel and recieved a message from cole, saying he's already at the lobby. this is what i really like from cole, he's never late and always keep what he's already said. and i wonder why he still hasn't gotten himself a girlfriend although it's been two years.

"i still have a couple of things that i missed, but can i do it tomorrow? i am really sorry, niall-"

"that's okay," niall nodds, examining the list, "you have done half of it." he shruggs, "happy thanksgiving, scarlette." he smiles. after arriving at the lobby, i ran all the way up so cole doesn't have to wait any longer. besides, we haven't bought the wine!

"thank you!" i say with joy. i walk out from his office and go back to my desk to collect all my things. almost done, i found a paper bag with watermark la cave de i'insolute. i smile knowing it's from harry and hurriedly walk to the elevator so i can reach the lobby.

i let my butt falls on cole's car upholstery and try to control my breath as i put my things under my legs.

"wow, that's what you got for not studying with all your power in your adolescent years," cole says, pulling the brake.

"shut up," i sigh.
