-One day later-

Play Practice

Aria Winters

Lights shining on my face, sweat dripping down, speaking ridiculous lines, I hated this. A 1980 play about a boy breaking a girls heart. No fun when your role is a teacher for an english class. Very dramatic play though. I hated my part. I auditioned for the main role, but of course Meghan got it since her aunt is the assistant principal of Lafayette High.

"Cut!" Mr. Wilson said.

"Great work Aria." Mr. Wilson called out.

"Thank you sir." I walked off the stage and sat down in one of the seats that filled up the auditorium.

"Luke and Meghan, time to practice your scene!" Great, can't wait to see this. I let out a sigh and crossed my legs and arms.

"Places everyone!"

"3, 2, 1, action!" Luke walked up to Meghan. Meghan had the look in her eyes. I just wanted to strangle her.

"Sarah, please forgive me. I know I broke your heart, but it was a mistake. I can never find anyone better than you."

"Adam, please. I'm not dealing with this again. You had your chance." Meghan walked away as Luke grabbed her wrist and twirled her around.

"I had my chance and I screwed it up. I screwed you over but the second I made my mistake I knew that I didn't like what I did. I'm sorry Sarah."

"Do you really expect me to crawl back? We, are never gonna happen. There will never be an us."

Luke looked at her and backed up a little bit. He looked at the ground. Meghan walked up to him and gave him a kiss.

My heart dropped. I felt nothing but pain.

"Cut, cut , cut!! That is not part of the script Meghan!" Luke looked at Meghan in shock.

"What the hell Meghan??" Luke looked over at me. Tears filled up in my eyes, I had to get out. Luke shook his head, like he didn't know it was going to happen. I didn't care about anything anymore. I ran towards the exit door hearing faint calls.

"Aria!" Luke's voice filled the room. I ran down the street. I kept running and running until I had to stop.

"Aria! Please stop!" I stopped running. Was this really happening?

"Just leave me alone. Please." My voice cracked as I started to cry even more. I kept walking. I suddenly felt a hand on my shoulder. I jerked away.

"LEAVE ME ALONE!"

"Aria! I'm sorry! I didn't make the move, SHE did." I looked at him with disgrace.

I balled my fists and hit him over and over again as I yelled at him.

"You let it happen Luke! YOU FUCKING LET IT HAPPEN!" I rested my fists on his chest and stood there.

"I'm sorry... But I have to go home." I said walking away. I've never felt this way about someone before.

"Aria please... I'm so sorry." I heard him cry. It made my heart break even more, but I had to go home. I didn't want to deal with anyone.

-back home-

I was sitting in the bathroom, razor in hand. I didn't want to do this, but I didn't know what else to do. I was afraid to talk to someone about it, to express my feelings. I moved the razor closer to my wrist. I hesitated at first but I did it anyway. I cut and cut. I threw the razor against the wall and cried. I cried so hard. I laid down on my bed, hopeless. I suddenly heard my door open.
