"This is it. Doesn't look that cozy on the outside. But we got beds and couches and enough food to survive. I'm one of the people that go out and hunt. You'll be happy with the amount of food we have. Come on, I'll show you inside." The school was protected by a school yard fence, which looked quite firm. There were a couple people by the fence, killing the zombies from the other side. Pretty smart. Calvin and I walk up to the school doors and enter the school. I glance around. The school looked so nice inside. It had freshly painted white walls, probably to take the blood of the walls, they had fuzzy dark blue carpets, it looked normal. "Trust me it gets bet-" Calvin got cut off by some girl who looked like a badass biker. "Who the hell are you?" She asks. "Brooke, she's new, leave her alone." Brooke was her name, I'm guessing. "Shut up. Did I say I was talking to you?" Calvin rolled his eyes. "U-uh I'm Izzy." I stutter. "Why would you let your mother name you something so stupid?" I then think about my mother. Finding her dead. Calvin put his arm around my shoulder. His warmth felt comforting. "If you don't like new people, you can get your ass out of here." Calvin protecting me is what I need right now. Or at least somebody protecting me. Brooke rolled her eyes and stomped away. "Sorry about her. That's Brooke. She's almost 18. Don't let her get to you, she's been through a lot, even before all this. Let's look around." He said, now facing me.
"Would you like to take a shower, there in the girls change room. You can take as long as you want." I nod in agreement. "Okay well, I'm gonna get everyone together to talk about our new member, which would be you, but I'll do that after you get out of the shower. It's right over there." He said pointing in a direction.
