8 Years Later...

~Zayn~

Arriving home, I'm greeted with the smell of a home cooked meal and the pitter patter of feet. Closing the door behind me I make my way towards the kitchen where I know my wife would be cooking. Seeing Litsy humming to some beat in her head while stirring something in the pot. I smile and walk towards her wrapping my arms around her waist. She sighs leaning back into my arms when I kiss the back of her neck. I hold her close for a moment content with the way she feels in my arms. Soon after, I hear screaming upstairs and know that's cue for me to see what's going on.

Litsy starts to move wanting to go upstairs, "I've got it don't worry, you keep cooking." I say giving her a peck and she nods. I head out of the kitchen and make my way upstairs, taking a right into the first room where I hear the screaming. I see Bryson, my 5-year-old, fighting with his older sister Carina, who is now 8.

"Daddy tell Bryson that he's not allowed to mess with my toys." Carina says while glaring at her younger brother.

"No daddy! She won't play with me!" Bryson says on the verge of crying.

I sigh, knowing that Carina still doesn't like to share since she was an only child for three years. "Carina you need to learn to share and play with your brother. Bryson remember that you're not allowed to touch anyone else's things without their permission." They both nod and glare at each other once more, Carina huffs while Bryson stomps his foot. They're both clearly not happy that I didn't take sides and that I told them off.

"Fine Daddy." They both say in unison before I leave their room and go further down the hall to the next room.

Walking into the other room I find the twins still asleep even with all the screaming going on. I walk to the small bed on my left where the older of the two twins is tucked under his marvel's blanket. I give him a kiss on his forehead and tuck him the blanket around him. I stand up and walk to the bed on the right of the room where my little girl lays under her princess blanket holding on to her teddy bear. I kiss her forehead and tuck the blanket under her chin.

Thinking back to the day when the twins were born, I smile at the thought of Litsy. We were both only expecting another boy and then we're told that another baby was coming as well. This little girl was hiding behind her brother when we went to the sonograms. Even without knowing about her we fell in love instantly at the sight of our daughter. The twins Adrian and Adriana, now 2 years old were the completion to our small family. Litsy and I only wanted three children; now we have four and we couldn't be happier.

Knowing that the twins will wake up soon enough after their nap I make my way back down to my wife. "Do you need any more help Litsy?"

"I'm almost finished, just set the table; how are the kids doing?" She asks while I hug her from behind. Kissing her head, I let go, make my way to the cupboard, I take out plates and set them on the table. Hearing feet coming down the stairs, then seeing Bryson running in and soon after Carina.

"What can we do daddy?" Carina asks while she and Bryson are bouncing on the balls of their feet willing to help. I grin at seeing their willingness; some days they're like this while other days they head straight to their seats and wait to be served.

"Well, hmm, let me think. How about Carina you bring out the spoons and Bryson brings napkins to the table." They both nod and hurry to do as asked. Chuckling slightly at their eagerness I make my way to the kitchen to get the rest of the utensils needed. "The twins are sleeping, and I was able to settle the argument between these two troublemakers." I say motioning to the two helpers setting the table as I speak.
