Song: The Run And Go
Welcome to chapter 20! And just in time too! Cause guess what sheep? We just got 20K reads in this humble little fanfic here!
*hugs*
THANK YOU ALL MY SHEEP!Trying to keep this AN short.
Sorry that I haven't been on Wattpad for a while... We had some family disagreements and I had all my electronics taken away. For a week. This is what happens when you're an only child. XDBut I'm back now, so we'll just go right back into the story.
ALSO!!!!
This chapter is gonna be from Ford's pov, you're welcome. :PDarkness. He couldn't see anything. Wherever he was, it was warm, there was a slight breeze running across his face, and there was a little bit of light trying to peek in through his eyelids.
Ford tried to open his eyes, but even the low amount of light was too much, and he had to close them again. However, he did suddenly recognize where he was. It was his old room in the Mystery Shack.
Trying to sit up, he realized that not only was he still rather tired, but almost all of his muscles were sore. Ford leaned back down gingerly.
"Yeah, you might be tired for a few days, sorry about that." Said a very familiar voice.
Ford lurched up, his eyes flying open, and he was greeted with a very familiar figure. Above him floated a certain young relative. Dipper actually looked quite normal, other than what he was wearing, and his abnormal eyes. He still had his wings too, but they seemed smaller.
"What are you doing here?" Ford said, trying to ignore his scratchy throat.
"Well," Dipper said, crossing his arms,"don't mind me, I just saved your life is all."
"What do you mean?"
"What do you think I mean, genius? I. Saved. Your. Life."
Ford frowned. "I mean, why?"
Dipper faltered at that, staring at his Great Uncle for a few moments. "What?"
"Why did you save me?" Ford said. "You obviously haven't ever cared before."
"Mabel would have missed you too much." Dipper finally said. "And you know that I can't just leave her to be sad."
"So, you didn't think that she would be sad when you destroyed Piedmont?" Ford said, trying to keep his temper in check. How could Dipper be so insensitive?
"Be quiet." Dipper snapped. "I didn't want that to happen, you know! Anyways, I didn't want you to die either, and the hospital said that you were a lost cause, so it was kind of up to me to save you."
The two glared at each other for a few moments, as if challenging the other to say something. Finally, Dipper sighed and looked away.
"Do you want to see them or not?"
Slowly, Ford nodded.
"I'll be right back then." Dipper said. "Please don't try to go anywhere. There's some water on the bed stand if you need it.
"Thanks." Ford said, but Dipper had already left to find Mabel and Stan.
He was left alone with his thoughts for a few minutes, and his mind started to wander.
Just what could Dipper be up to? A demon would never just decide to help a human, even if they had been related. It didn't make any sense at all.
