Me while writing this: Ack, feels! *dies*
Finally! The story gets really interesting!
As if the picture didn't give it all away.
Song: In Fact by Gregory and the HawkDipper was gone. Bill had taken his soul and they were both trapped in the Nightmare Realm. He was never coming back.
Mabel refused to believe it. There had to a way to get him back. There was always a way, she just had to think about it. Maybe Ford could figure something out. Still, tears slid down her cheeks as she gazed at where the portal had been. She promised herself that she would get him back.
That had been a week ago.
Dipper was still missing, their research wasn't proving helpful. Mabel cried herself to sleep, hoping that something would happen. Their parents called. It was time to start school again, but they didn't feel like they could handle it. Mabel wouldn't be going home. She would have to go to school at Gravity Falls, she would have to live there.
Mabel didn't care. She had to find Dipper. They were getting close, she knew it.
That had been two weeks ago.
They couldn't find him. There was no way to find Dipper. He was gone. Mabel gave up. It hurt to think about him, it hurt when others thought about him. She had to move on.
Dipper had been missing for one month and one week. Except, how can someone be missing if others knew where they were. Knew they couldn't come back. And if they ever did, would they be themselves?
Mabel was laying on her bed. Across the room, Dipper's stuff was still there. A single tear ran down her cheek, but she wiped it away.
She had moved on weeks ago, there was no need to keep crying.
Hauling herself up, she put on her shoes and trudged down the stairs to the kitchen, even though it was too late for breakfast. She walked past both of her Great Uncles, but she didn't say anything to them. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Stan shoot her a concerned look, but she ignored it.
Entering the kitchen finally, Mabel poured herself a small glass of cereal. Stan walked in right as she was finishing, and sat down opposite of her.
"Look, kiddo," he said, "I know it's been tough for you these last few weeks. It has for everyone. But you need to get up on your feet. You're a teenager now, life should be fun."
"I'm fine, Grunkle Stan."
"I know that you miss Dipper--"
"I said I was fine."
"And we all miss him, but he wouldn't want you to be sad for this long."
"I'm fine, okay!?" Mabel turned and marched out of the kitchen, brushing past Ford on the way out.
She heard them arguing behind her before she stomped up the stairs and slammed her door behind her. Running across the ground, she flung herself onto Dipper's bed and clutched at the sheets, crying. Waddles curled up beside her.At least she still had her pig.
But that wasn't enough, because even though she didn't want to admit it, she needed her brother around. Without him, everything was boring. She missed him. If would have been different if he was actually dead. Sure, they had buried him, but she couldn't take it knowing that his soul was trapped in some terrible dimension will demons. With Bill.
