"Let's see what you can do. You were sent here to kill me so do it" said Ciel, he then closed his eye and tilted back his head, he stretched his neck exposing his skin.
Sky raised her knife, she then dropped it, it clattered harmlessly to the ground.
"I can't do it" she breathed.
Ciel opened his eye and looked at her.
Sky looked at her hand where the groups assassin mark was permanently etched into her skin.
"My parents died when I was so young, my house burned down, for years I was forced to train and become a killer and this mark. It's the mark of a monster, a murder, the person who I never wanted to become" she breathed, as she released her grip on Ciel and knelt back on the desk.
Ciel looked at her, he felt a little bad for saying those things to her, he now realised she was just as hurt as he was.
"Excuse me but I am..." He began.
"MASTER!" Shouted Sebastian as he burst into the study, he saw Sky and wrenched her away from Ciel, he grabbed her neck and began to squeeze suffocating her. Defenceless there was nothing Sky could do but await to be killed.
"SEBASTIAN!! LET HER GO! THATS AN ORDER!" shouted Ciel.
Sebastian turned to Ciel confused, but he then smiled and released Sky.
"Yes my lord, I am sorry for acting on my own accord" he said while he bowed.
"You should apologising for getting here so late" grumbled Ciel.
"I am sorry, it won't happen again" Sebastian promised, he then turned to where Sky was sat on the floor and helped her up.
"I am sorry my lady, however I know you tried to kill my master, you are lucky that he spared you. I could have snapped your neck like a twig for trying to kill him" said Sebastian, his apologetic voice turned into a hiss.
"Sebastian stop it! I know you are acting under the terms of the contract, but you do not treat a guest in this way" scolded Ciel.
Sebastian turned to him.
"I am sorry my lord, but I do care about your safety" he said.
"Or you care about my soul. I know your hungry Sebastian, now leave us be, I wish to speak with her in private" said Ciel.
"My lord I don't think..." Began Sebastian.
"Leave Sebastian!!" Ciel shouted.
Sebastian bowed and turned to leave, however he glared at Sky as he past her. When he got to the door he turned to Ciel.
"I shall bring refreshment immediately my lord" he said, he then bowed and left.
Sky turned to Ciel, tears were still streaming down her face.
"Please sit" said Ciel gently and gestured to a chair across from him. Sky sat down and shifted uncomfortably.
"As I was saying, I am sorry about the things I said before. I now understand what you meant by a similar pain"
Sky looked at him.
"Why are you apologising? I just tried to kill you. I could have ended your life, yet when your butler went to kill me you ordered him not to. Why?" She asked.
Ciel sighed, he then stood up and went to the window, he looked out over the garden.
"Because we are basically the same." He said. Sky gasped, did he just say that to her?
"I want to help you. If you want revenge on who killed your parents and took your home then just say and I can help"
Said Ciel.
"Why are you offering me this when I tried to kill you?" She asked, she couldn't believe what he was offering her.
Ciel turned to her.
"Years ago I met a boy called Alois Trancy. He was the same as me, he had lost his parents and his village. He had a demon butler and wanted to own me, but in a fight when I had stabbed him he begged me to spare his life. He told me we were practically the same. It was clear he had lost his way, his true goal. I ignored his call and tried to kill him, I was stopped but he died from the wound I gave him. There is nothing I can do now, but I know I could have helped him. When Sebastian tried to kill you just now it reminded me of him" explained Ciel as he sat back down.
"But I haven't lost my way!" Exclaimed Sky but stopped and looked at the mark on her hand, and sighed.
"Are you sure?" He asked.
