Chapter 20

"Mistress? Mistress?" Came a voice.
Sky could feel she was being shaken and her eyes snapped open.
Looking worriedly down at her was Sebastian.
"Mistress, are you alright?" He asked as he stood up straight.
Sky was breathing heavily, her eyes wide with fear and panic.
"Black shadow....please...don't hurt me." She whimpered.
Sebastian sat next to her and stroked her hair.
"It's alright my lady, it was just a nightmare" he said calmly.
"No...it was a memory" said Sky quietly.
Sebastian looked at her confused, Sky sat up and traced the long scar that went down her arm.
"It was a memory Sebastian" she said again.
Sebastian sat there and looked at her, unsure what to say or do in this situation.
"A memory that has turned into a nightmare." Sky said and looked at Sebastian.
Sebastian pulled her close to him.
"It's ok mistress, the nightmare is over now" he said, he then got up and drew back the curtains.
"As you know my lady, we will be visting the circus that the queen ordered my master to investigate" he explained as he went over to the wardrobe and picked out a light blue dress for Sky to wear.
"Sebastian if you don't mind, I would like to wear something a little more...practical, just in case something happens, for example having to defend myself" Sky explained.
Sebastian smiled.
"Of course my lady, however you have no need to worry as I will defend you and my master should you be in danger. That is what the contract states after all" said Sebastian, but put the dress away anyway.
"I know, but it's just in case" replied Sky and smiled at him.
"Please excuse me as I go and get one of my masters outfits for you"
Sebastian then bowed and left the room and quickly returned with Ciel's blue uniform with a big black bow on the back of the jacket and blue shorts.
"My master is still sleeping so I just picked this out for you, but don't worry I shall explain it to him when I wake him up" explained Sebastian and laid the clothes on the bed.
"Thank you, I shall take it from here" said Sky and slid out of bed.
"Of course my lady" said Sebastian, he then left.
Sky began to get changed, she put the white glove on her hand that bore the assassins mark, she then tied the eyepatch around her head so it covered her left eye that bore the contract seal. She looked at herself in the mirror and gave a small laugh.
It's funny how both Ciel and Sebastian have borrowed from each other!
She gave an approving nod and went and sat on her bed.
She heard a knock on the door.
"Come in" she shouted.
Sebastian poked his head around the door.
"Mistress, breakfast is served" he said.
Sky got up and headed towards the door, she was then escorted to the dining hall, unaware of the danger that lay ahead.
