Both stood and stared at each other.
"Ciel, what actually happened to you?" Sky breathed.
Ciel turned away.
"That is not your concern, but what you should be worried about is that mark on your hand" he explained and pointed to it. Sky looked at it, the mark of the assassins group.
"That is a famous group you were in, the assassins group and its mark is known very well in London. If people are to see that, you would surely be killed" continued Ciel,
Sky sighed.
"I know. I hate it myself but it's there everyday for me to see"
Ciel smiled at her, he then brought a white glove out his pocket.
"Here" he said and held it out to her. Sky took it and was a little confused. Ciel noticed her confused look.
"I know it's only one and you would probably prefer a pair, but there is only so much you can take from Sebastian before he finds out. I knew he wouldn't miss one glove but he would most certainly notice a pair going missing" explained Ciel with a smile on his face.
"You stole from Sebastian?" Said Sky surprised Ciel would ever do that.
Ciel rolled his eye.
"I wouldn't say stole it. I just borrowed it until the pair that I ordered for you are ready to collect" Ciel explained as his smile dropped.
"Oh, thank you" said Sky and slipped the glove on the hand that bore the assassins group mark, it fit her perfectly. She smiled but it quickly faded away as she remembered Lizzy, she then remembered something she had been meaning to asked Ciel.
"Ciel, why was Lizzy here over night?" She asked.
"Oh, after you went to your bedroom Lizzy wanted to dance, so we did and she tiered herself out, so I let her stay for the night" Ciel explained.
"She was supposed to go home this morning, however..." He began unable to finish his sentence.
"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have brought it up" said Sky, a little ashamed that she had felt the need to ask.
"No it's ok, you have every right to know why she stayed" said Ciel.
There was a knock on the door and Sebastian entered with a sliver plate and on it was a letter.
"Excuse me my lord a letter has come for you" he said while he held the plate I front of Ciel, Ciel looked at the wax stamp and his eye lit up with interest, he took it and opened it quickly. He read it and then sighed.
"Well I suppose I have more work now, I do hope those circus freaks aren't involved in this" he sighed.
"What is it?" Asked Sky confused.
Ciel handed her the letter.
"The Phantomhives serve under the queen as her guard dog, we are tasked with keeping Londons underworld under control, the responsibility has been passed down the family for generations and as you can expect the duty has now befallen on to me"
Sky read the letter while Ciel explained.
A circus? And people dyeing suddenly in the audience? This sounds a bit off.
Sky handed the letter back to Ciel and he took it.
"So your the queens guard dog that is being sent on a circus trip" giggled Sky.
"I heard you handled the most gruesome crimes in London, a circus sounds like no threat and a waste of your time" laughed Sky, but she stopped when she saw the angry glares coming from both Sebastian and Ciel.
"Um, what's wrong?" She asked.
"A year ago I was sent to investigate a another circus where children went missing and...well, I would rather not recall the memories, but Sky nothing in this world is what it seems. Sebastian we will go to this circus tomorrow" said Ciel
"Yes my lord"
Ciel and Sebastian walked out the room
"Ciel!" Sky called and Ciel turned to look at her
"Yes?"
"I would like to come with you" said sky
Ciel thought for a moment he then sighed
"Ok sky you can come however do not get in the way of my work" said Ciel firmly
"Thank you"
Sebastian and Ciel then left and sky lay down on her bed
A circus, a deadly circus. This will be interesting and to see the queens guard dog in action too. I can't wait! Even if there is the threat of death.
