Sky

Chapter 23

"Give me that!" The man shouted as he tried to tug the glove off of Sky's hand.
"No, please no!" She screamed.
"Your one of us and hiding the mark is against the rules here!" He roared, he finally managed to tear the glove off her hand and he threw it aside.
"No, give it back!" Sky screamed and tried to run to pick it up, however the man punched her in the stomach. Her eyes went wide and her vision went blurred as all the air was knocked out of her lungs. She was dragged towards a cage.
"Get in there!" The man shouted as he threw Sky into the cage, she fell to the ground, she recovered and tried to get out however the man locked her in, in the cage next to her she saw Ciel, he was in a bundle on the floor.
"Ciel"
"Well this is much better, two animals finally locked in their cages" Black shadow sneered.
"You monster!" Growled Sky.
Black shadow laughed.
"A monster you say? We'll have you forgotten Sky? That mark on your hand makes you ours, one of us. You to are a monster" he laughed at the weak insult.
Sky sat back in the cage, she gave up. No matter what she would say to him she knew that would be the answer every time.
"Well I think I will leave you a lone for now, let you settle in" Black shadow sneered, he then left.
"Now what?" Sky asked herself.
She heard a moan and looked over to where she saw Ciel begin to move, he opened his eyes and sat up slowly. He turned and looked at her. Sky gasped, both his eyes were on show and it seemed Ciel hadn't noticed.
"Ciel, your eye" she said, Ciel looked confused for a moment and then realised his eyepatch was missing, he quickly closed his right eye and tried to find it frantically.
"Where is it?" He asked as he looked around.
"It must have fallen off outside" said Sky, she looked back at him and noticed he looked scared as he stared at the bars.
"N...n...no n...n...not a...a...again" he stammered.
"Ciel, what's wrong?" Asked Sky, getting worried and to her surprise Ciel began to panic and hit the bars.
"No, let me out! Please!" He shouted.
"CIEL!! Calm down!" Shouted Sky and Ciel looked at her and sat down.
"Now, I'm sure Sebastian will rescue us soon" she said calmly.
"He won't"
"What?! Why?" Asked Sky shocked.
"Even though he is a demon he is still able to get hurt and die" explained Ciel.
"What? You don't mean he's..." Sky began.
"No, he is alive. Only a death scythe or demon sword can kill him, however that wound was very deep, it will take him a long time to heal and get his strength back so I wouldn't count on a rescue anytime soon" said Ciel.
Sky looked towards the only exit of the tent.
"Sebastian, please...."
