Sky screamed and awoke suddenly, she sat up and breathed heavily, she felt her face and realised she was sweating, she clutched the sheets tightly.
Why that memory now?
She suddenly jumped when she heard a knock at the door, she slowly slid out her bed and walked to the door. She slowly opened it and she gasped when she saw who was standing there.
"Ciel Phantomhive?" She asked confused.
Ciel stood in his night gown and he held a single lit candle, he didn't have his eye patch on revealing the eye with the contract seal, he shuffled nervously.
"Um Sky...can...can I ask something?" He said as he looked at the ground.
"Yeah sure" replied Sky gently.
"Do you think...could I... I had a nightmare and...well could I..." He stuttered as he blushed and looked away.
"Could I sleep with you tonight?" He asked as his cheeks went bright red at him finally managing to ask the question.
Sky stood shocked for a moment, this was not the boy she had seen a moment ago.
"You see I normally go to Sebastian, but he wasn't there cause demons don't sleep you see and I didn't want to go to the other servants, I can't ruin their view on me as their master, you were the only other person I could come to" Ciel explained. Sky crossed her arms and smiled.
"How do you know I won't make fun of you for this?" She asked.
Ciel gave a sly smile and looked at her.
"Because I heard you screaming just now" he said mockingly.
Sky stood once again shocked, she had forgotten about that.
"Ok good point, yeah I had a nightmare too and I guess I could use some company" she smiled and allowed Ciel inside. She closed the door after him and climbed back into bed, Ciel followed her, he put the candle on the bedside table. Sky felt his body heat as he snuggled next to her.
"Thank you Sky" he said sleepily, he then instantly fell back to sleep without blowing out the candle. Sky smiled and blew it out, she stroked his midnight blue hair, she then hugged him tight feeling sorry for him, without his butler it was clear he was scared, vulnerable and defenceless.
"Them two really do have a special bond, oh Ciel, you poor boy" she said and then went to sleep herself, still holding him tight.
