2: Insecurities

Sheena's POV

"Hi Sheena, what's up??" Amy said as I hugged her. God, I haven't met her for so many days, so I thought I should go and meet her at her place. I mean though we used to share the same apartment, she was never home. Either she used to be with Jeremy or.....she used to be with Jeremy. 

I know, I know I might seem like a jealous friend but hey, I am human and humans have feelings. I was left out all alone all the time. Except the only time when I am with Arjun. 

"Seems like you and Arjun are making progress " She wriggled her eyebrows at me. This made my cheeks go through different shades of red. 

"It's nothing like that okay? What makes you think like that???" I partially screamed at her. 

"Clam down. I thought this pendent, which you are wearing right now, was given by Arjun." She said innocently but I know she is not that innocent. "But you have to accept he do like you a lot. I mean the way acts around you, the way he talks to you, everything screams that he likes you. And I also know that you also like him. Don't you dare deny this fact!"

"Can't I buy anything for myself with my own money? By the way I don't like him in that sense..." I tried to defend myself though I still can't hid my emotions from Amy. It always seems like she could read my mind and tell me the exact thing I am feeling at that time. 

"Alright, whatever makes you sleep tonight." She said with defeat in her tone. " Anyway, this pendent is so beautiful. Definitely suits you." I ran my finger over that blue stone of that pendent, feeling it's smooth stone under my skin. 

"Act-" I was interrupted as the front door opened up with a loud bang. I almost jumped out of my seat. I saw Jeremy coming into the room, wearing only shots. By his expression anyone could make out that he was really angry, he was breathing very heavily. His light brown eyes were now much more dark. His eyes landed on me and he made very disgusting face. 

What did I do?  I know he disgraces me for some unknown reason but this was getting way too much. I was feeling like I was being insulted merely by his gaze. 

His eyes turned to Amy and he went straight into his bedroom. Amy put her hand on my shoulder and said," It will be better if you leave.....I am so sorry for his behavior."

"But.."

"I need to talk to him, we can continue our talk on phone. Alright??" She said hesitantly. 

Before I could answer, she went straight into the same room where Jeremy went. Feeling left out I made my way to go back home. As I was about to reach the main door, I heard Amy and Jeremy fighting. 

"Why was she her???" Jeremy shouted. 

"She just came here to meet me. She is my best friend Jeremy!!" Amy said in same tone. I know that she is me.

"What did I told you about her? She should not know about this place. Our secret will be in danger and I don't want my family to face any problem by your stupid friend." He said

Okay I can't hear this any more. I can't imagine that I'll be the cause of fight between my friend and her boyfriend. If this is the case, I will never meet Amy again if that's what Jeremy wants. Whatever secret it is, I really don't care. I just want my friend to be happy and I will try my best to do that. 

I came out of her house and started to search for a cab, which was very difficult to find because Amy lives in the outskirts of the town. I wonder how could they live like this, unconnected to the town, in this forest like place.  

Finally I came back to home. It was already 4:30 pm. God I totally forgot that I have to go out with Arjun. He said he'll be back by 5, I have get ready.
