7: City of ruins

Sheena's POV

We all continued to look at that devastated town, seeing it get destroyed with that thick black smoke. 

"What happened here?? Did Arjun do this?" Amy spoke.

"Arjun didn't do this, it was just his body....it was that devil, that bloody monster." I said through my greeted teeth.

"It's neither of them." Myra corrected us. "It was those other demons which the other princesses send to Hell." She was now in total panic mode. "Come on we need to find survivors, if we want to find answer to our questions and to save Arjun."

"I think we have someone perfect for this job..." Amy looked at Jeremy and Jeremy replied her with a cocky grin. He then stepped forward in front of us. I let out a humorless laugh,

"What are you?? A dog? Sniffing around for a human." I teased but everyone gave me death glare, making me shut up.

"Well, I am not a dog....I much better than that." With that Jeremy let out a loud growl. Hair started growing out from almost all part of his body and in no time he was standing in front of us in a wolf form.

Did that just happened?

I fell on the ground as he growled at me loudly. What kind of things are living in this world?? Demons, ghosts,  magic, now werewolfs....what next will be there now?? Vampires? Great, here we go in twilight mode. All we need is Bella and then it will become a great parody of twilight.

God Sheena!! Stop! How could you think such things at this time??? 

I arched my brow at Amy, "What the heck are you doing with this wolf?? Wait, are you still human or he changed you into a wolf too??" 

"Sheena, I am still human and I was always human. I am his mate, his soulmate." Amy said dreamily and winked at the wolf. 

Soul mate??? God what has got in her head? 

I let out a heavy sigh and turned to Myra," I think we should get going or I'll go insane." She nodded. I turned to this brown wolf in front of me and said," Show us the way wolfy."

He turned and started walking ahead of us, sniffing on the ground time to time. He was walking towards that demolished castle. We kept walking for 10 more minutes until we reached at the entrance of the town. The fire in this part was already cooled down and was now nothing less than a heap of ashes. 

There was a broad road in front of us covered with black ashes and on both sides of the road were small huts totally burned out. It was so painful for me to watch all this because I knew that there might be zero chance that there is someone left out alive . All of us were looking at the city with a pained expression. Then I heard a sniffing sound.

I turned to my right to see Myra, crying. I know this must be really hard to see your home, your people die. I put my hand to console her. 

"It's not only that Sheena," She said as if she could read my mind," They were my people, I may was their Princess but I always treated them as my children. Can you imagine that pain a mother feels when she sees her children die? For every ruler, their kingdom, their people are just like their children. And his kingdom only gets destroyed, it's like someone has broke his backbone. It hurts Sheena, It hurts a lot....."

I could also feel tears in my eyes, I felt like I was a part of this whole world. Like I have been here before and I had felt the touch of the love and care of these people. Seeing them hurt me like hell too. 

"Jeremy go on, we need to find survivors." I said to Jeremy and we continued to walk on that ash covered road.

After walking for few more minutes we found ourselves standing in front of the castle, it was damaged beyond explanation. I do remember this place in the back of my mind somehow, I know once it was a huge and beautiful castle with many rooms and their was a forest at the back of the castle.  

We walked at parameters of the castle and ended up at the border of dense forest. Somehow this forest look untouched, undamaged. As if however this attacker was, didn't even noticed this forest and I am very thankful for that. 

Suddenly  Jeremy's ears stood up and started sniffing vigorously.

"He got a smell....There are some survivors." Amy said looking at us with a smile.  

Jeremy ran inside the forest and we all also ran behind him. He was quite fast but we succeeded in maintaining a good speed. Soon we found our self in front of  big white house. 

I have been here before......

Suddenly a man with blond hair and dark black eyes came out of that white house. He looked kinda familiar....God everything of this place looks familiar to me!!!

He stopped dead on his tracks when he saw us standing in front of his house. He looked at Jeremy and studied him carefully. He then turned and shouted back at the house,

"Hey guys, They are here!!!!"

Then a girl with black hair and brown eyes came out of the house, followed by a tall blond guy with blue eyes. They both looked at us and almost ran at me. 

That black haired girl hugged me tightly and said, "I missed you so much Sheena." 

I hugged her back," I missed you too, Nura."  Slipped from my mouth unknowingly.

She moved away from in a swift moment and gave me confused look," Hey, you know me?? How is this possible? I thought mom wiped all your memories."

"Well, I don't have any idea but you both..." I pointed at both of them, "...look familiar  to me. "

"At least she knows our names, " the blue eyed guy shrugged.

"You arrrreee....Ralph, if I am not wrong." I said with uncertainly.

"Correct as always.." He gave a cheeky grin. "Now come on, he has been waiting for you all for quite a long time."

"Who is waiting for us?" Amy asked.

"Someone very special..."Nura said looking at Myra intentionally, trying to give her a hint.

With saying that, Ralph went forward in the lawn and stood in a particular spot. He crouched down and moved his hand just above the ground as he murmured something under his breath.

Suddenly, the ground started descending in the  form of steps, making it appear like stairs. My jaw almost dropped on the ground. How did he do that???? I looked at my friends but they didn't had any expression, so it's just me who is amused by this? I am so lame.

I saw Jeremy back in his human form, wearing just shots. He was standing beside and gave her glance.

"Come on guys." Ralph and started descending the stairs. We gave each other a look and went inside following Nura.

As we came down from the stairs, a man was standing in front of the stairs facing his back towards us. He turned to us so that we can see his face. He was handsome.....no sorry a Greek god. He had midnight black hair and was wearing a ripped blue jeans with black shirt. But the thing which mesmerized me the most was his blue eyes. They were so bright, as if they are glowing. God he is so handsome, but he reminds me so much of Arjun. Making me miss him more. 

I heard Myra grasp a she saw that guy.

"It's been so long since I have seen you from this close Myra...." He said.

"Max....."Slipped from Myra's mouth, "What are you doing here, Maximilian????"
