18: Game on (part 2)

Sheena's POV

What the fudge??

All thousands of Noctis were looking at me,

"What are you waiting for?" They all said in unity,"did I tell you have just 5 minutes....and your time starts now!"

A big digital clock appeared just above my head. Numbers were showing in big red letters but there was something weird, it didn't start from zero...it started from 4 minutes.

"Oops....guess my clock is not working properly... anyway a challenge is a challenge, so find me or die hear....you have got only 55 seconds."

Panic raised in my heart as I tended to waste no more time to find him. I went in every way through this maze but I couldn't find him and let's not forget the way he was trying to distract me...

"I am here Sheena.."sang one of the reflection, trying to mock me.

"Don't listen to him..I am the real one..."

"Oh, please, I am the real one..."

"No I am."

They all started arguing or I must say trying to confuse me. I had to cover my ears to save my eardrums from tearing apart. I looked at the clock and saw that I have only 30 second now.

God, I have to find the real one but how? Then it clicked me....if one of these all Noctis is real then he must not be in the mirror.

I made a big ball of light and took it with me as I wondered between these mirrors. All of them were reflecting it's light.....except of one.

Ah, got ya!!

I threw that light in that mirror and it scattered on the ground. Behind that mirror was Noctis. He was looking at me with a grim me with a grim expression, like he will right now kill me with his bare hands.

"No one could solve my puzzles! No one! I can't be beaten by a human girl in my own game!!" He said through his gritted teeth. In no time there was a sword in his hand and he was leaping at me with his sword raised up high. But my reflexes were fast enough to stop that.

"I am not a human girl!" I said as I pushed him away," I am a princess.....I am princess of Verena!! And you better get this straight in your big head."

As if my words ignited fire in him, because the next second I found him on top me with his sword on my throat.

"I know who you are Sheena. I know the type of princesses like you....you think you are smart enough to fight me?" I could feel that cold metal digging into my skin.

"But guess what? I have already trashed your masterpiece...." I hit him with my forehead and he backed away from me, clutching he head. I took the advantage of this moment and grabbed my sword. I, then, lunged forward towards him and made my sword pass through his stomach and come out of his back.

Sparkling white light started coming out of his body and he fall down on his knees. That light was so bright that it was blinding me. I put my hand over my eyes to cover it.

After a while, the lights died out a little. When my eyes adjusted, I found myself in front of the lake, surrounded by lush green trees. I feel like I have gone back to my dreams.

Am I sleeping right now?? But I still have my sword with me.... don't tell me I passed out in the middle of the battle. But somehow, everything fells normal. The sun is shining above me....birds singing and the most refreshing was the silence...no more cries of monsters, swords, blood...just plain nothing. Everything fells so utterly quite, so soothing and I think that is what I was lacking, isn't it??
