I grabbed my wash bag and shoved that into the small suitcase that was sat on my hospital bed, well, it's not going to be my hospital bed anymore.
After a week I was finally getting discharged, and I was more than happy to leave.
"You need to take your meds." My brother reminded me, pointing to the Dixie cup the nurse left on the bedside table.
"What's this new pill?" I asked him, before popping the rest of my pills in my mouth and swallowing them with a swig of water.
"What?" He looked up from his phone, I saw that he knew exactly what I was talking about
"The white circle pill?"
"Letty asked if we should go to the beach today?"
"Stop changing the subject. What is the new pill?" I repeated.
"Valium," he informed me.
"I don't need that." I snapped.
"If you want to talk about it then we can do that," Dom said, with a sigh. "But if all you're going to do is shut me down then that's the end of the conversation because I'm not having it."
I hated it when Dom goes all guardian-status on me.
"I talked with your doctor and a psychiatrist and-"
"Are you fucking kidding me?"
"Can we talk about this without you shutting me down every two seconds?" My brother demanded.
"Well you went and had another conversation about me without me so I don't really see the point. You already made the decision without me."
"It's not like that."
"It's exactly like that." I pointed out. "You decided what you thought was best for me without even bothering to ask me."
"I said we could talk about it Sophia. And I would've included you in on the conversation, but you won't even be in the same room or talk with me these past few days so I had to make a decision here."
"Well I wonder why that is." I stated dryly.
"Fine. Take the pill, don't take the pill, your choice. And next time you want to be included in on a decision, speak to me."
Letty came in, and obviously sensed the tension, handing the discharge papers to Dom she threaded her arm through mine, "we're heading to the beach tomorrow." Letty grinned, tapping my shoulder "so show me those dimples." I pulled the corners of my lips into a smile, showing off my two dimples below my eyes.
Me and Letty have grown closer since she would mainly be at the hospital with me and Mia would be here whenever she could as she also had Jack to think about.
The drive home was quiet on my part, it made me uneasy leaving the little protective bubble of the hospital, and I could feel my heartbeat drumming in the back of my ears.
When we got in I went upstairs and dumped stuff in my room before going to find Dom, as I expected he was in the garage.
I noticed him looking at a photo, once I got closer I saw that it was a photo of him and Letty in the Dominican Republic, canoeing.
"You look happy," I said, now noticing how stressed he looked at the moment.
"Yeah." He mused, replacing the photo in its original position. "We still need to talk about the Valium."

Fanfiction-EDITED- "I'm sorry I think I got the wrong number." I whispered, sniffing and starring at my feet. I was too late, it was stupid, pinning my hopes on a card from three years ago. "That depends on who you're looking for." "My brother." The line we...
