Chapter 8

*Yuki's POV*

"Gaaaarrrrraaaaa!" I sang while skipping into his office.

He looked up from his paper work and blushed a little before looking back down.

"Y-Yuki h-hello." He stammered out and I just perched myself of his desk.

I had been bored all day and Temari has asked if she could give me a little make over. I agreed and she took me shopping into Suna.

I now had my hair in a messy braid dotted with flowers. I now wore a short black dress with two cut out sides and it was strapless, dotted with little sparkles.

I poked his slightly red cheek and he sighed.

"Yes?" He looked up and I smiled brightly.

"Temari gave me a makeover! You like ittttt?" I spun around making the dress go floaty.

"I guessed it was Temari's doing. But you look nice." He said simply and went back to his work.

"Oh, okay." I sighed and turned to leave. He only thinks it's nice? I did this to get him to look at me more....I know that's selfish but I dunno.

I thought to myself and rested my hand on the doorknob. I was about to leave when someone grabbed my wrist softly and spun me round. The next thing I know, soft lips were pressed against mine.

The kiss was brief but loving. I opened my eyes to see Gaara pinning my hands to the wall and resting his forehead to mine.

"Yuki, you know I didn't mean to make you feel upset. I'm just not good with...emotions." He said softly and I knew he was sincere.

"I know Gaara, I accepted you before, now is no different." I put my hand to his cheek and his lips curved into a little bit of a smile.

"I...I lo- well, I..." He stuttered out making me giggle.

"I love you too." I grinned and kissed him again.

He hesitantly put his arms round my waist and I tangled my hands in his hair.

I pulled away and hugged him tightly. He hugged me back while snuggling his head into the crook of my neck.

"I loved you even without the makeover." He said quietly making me blush.

"Even my new and improved hair?" I tease and he rolled his eyes.

"Even the new and improved hair. Now, tomorrow I'm spending the whole day with you as after that you'll be heading to konoha with Temari. I won't know how long it will be till I see you again." He told me and I nodded happily.

"I'm off to find Kankuro, he said he wanted me to show him my summoning jutsu." I waved happily over my shoulder and he kissed my cheek.

"Bye." He replied as I left through the door and headed off to find Kankuro.
