Chapter 19

*Yuki's POV*

It was a few days after the mission and we were travelling to the sand village as that's where Kimiko always wanted her funeral to be held. Ryuua was asleep as Shikamaru carried her on his back.

It was then first time she had actually slept since she found out Kimiko died. She had been awake every night eating ice cream and watching sad movies while sobbing.

We were worried about her but right now we were glad she was sleeping soundly.

"We should arrive at the sand village in about an hour." Kakashi informed us and I smiled as I got to see Gaara again, even if the reason we was here is because of a loss.

"Hm? Are we nearly there?" Ryuua mumbled as she woke up and moved her head to rest on Shika's shoulder.

"Nearly, you sleep well?" He turned his head to face her and she yawned.

"I guess, just want to see Temari Chan again." She giggled slightly and Umi jabbed Kiba in his forehead.

"What was that for?" He whined and she shrugged.

"Stop looking at me like that." She pouted and he rolled his eyes.

"Am I not allowed to look at my girlfriend?" He winked and she just shoved his shoulder with her own.

"Oh stop relationshiping please." I smiled sweetly and Rama sweat dropped.

Only a few of us had been allowed to come because some needed to stay in the village, Me, Ryuua, Umi, Kiba, Ruka, Rama, Shikamaru, Ino, Neji, hinata, Naruto and Ari.

5 of the Sensei's were here and Iruka had come as well because he used to know Kimiko as well.

"You have a boyfriend he's just not here." He stated and I stuck my tongue out.

"Well we're here." Gou Sensei informed us and sure enough we were at the gates of Suna.

We were greeted by kankuro and I tackled hugged him. He sighed and patted my head.

"Good to see you too kid." He smirked and I smiled.

"Hey Kankuro." Ryuua smiled weakly and he looked at her sadly before leading us to the hokage's office.

While the Sensei's spoke with other ninja I slipped away from the group and headed to Gaara's office with kankuro.

Kitty chan knocked on the door and a low response came from inside. "Enter." He replied and kankuro lead us through the door.

"Hiya gaara chan." I smiled at him and he nodded while standing up. He wrapped his arms around me and I hugged him back.

"Been a while Yuki, how's Ryuua?" He asked as we say in the seats opposite his desk.

"She's...getting by. It was a lot to take in. Thanks for letting us have the funeral here. It's what Kimiko wanted." I smiled and he slightly smiled back.

"It's okay, it's no problem." He replied and kankuro stood up.

"Well, it's time to go. Let's head out you two." He motioned to us and we got up and left the room behind him.

I took Gaara's hand as we walked and it wasn't long until we reached the others. I pecked Gaara's lips before me and the girls headed with Temari to get changed.

We wore our dresses from the hokages funeral except I had a dark green ribbon around my dress. I walked over to Ryuua as she was pulling her hair into a side braid.

"Hey, you okay Ru?" I asked and sat down beside her.

"Yeah I'm gonna be fine." She smiled sadly and then made me turn around while she put my hair in a fishtail braid.

"Your so strong Ryuua, I don't know how you do it." I commented and she giggled.

"Well, if she didn't want me to live for her she could have never told me too hm?" She patted my head and we stood up to leave the room.

"Ready?" Temari patted Ryuua's shoulder and she nodded.

"As I'll ever be." She replied and we headed to the place of the funeral.

I stood with gaara and Ino as we looked at the picture of Kimiko in the front. A few tears left my eyes and I could see Ryuua sobbing.

"I miss her." I spoke quietly to gaara and he squeezed my hand.

"It's okay, things are gonna be fine don't worry." He assured me and I smiled sadly.

*Umi's POV*

"The sand village is so pretty." I sighed in awe as me and the girls walked through the streets of Suna.

The boys had gone off a while ago after the funeral so us girls decided that Temari should give us a tour of her village to lighten the mood.

"And this is my favourite tea house." She stopped outside a small tea house with lucky cat figures dotted outside.

"Well let's go in." Ryuua pulled us inside and we got a table. It wasn't long till we placed our orders and the waitress was back with our drinks.

"So, what do you plan on doing when you get back to your village? I mean, there are only 4 remaining akatuski members so would you go after them?" Temari asked and I sighed.

"Well, at the moment, they don't seem to be on our case or anything, when there's news we will probably jump into action." I explained and she nodded.

"W-who is it that's s-still left?" Hinata asked shyly and yuki hummed.

"as far as I know, Deidara, konan, Tobi, zetsu and Hidan I guess but he's immortal sooo." She explained and I giggled.

"Creepy plant guy is weird, I don't like him." Ryuua shuddered and I nodded in agreement.

"We better get back before they start to worry. Your staying here till tomorrow then me and my brothers are travelling back to Konoha with you for a meeting with the hokage." Temari lead us out into the streets and we set off again.

I'm soooo sorry I haven't updated in a while but I have had exams all week and ugh!

Anywayyyyyyy, I guess the next chapter is the last. Omg I can't believe it's ending 😱😱😱
