I make my way through the forest as the memories of yesterday is haunting my mind. I couldn't stop thinking about how his eyes look like the forest, therefore I decided to come here so I could see the resemblance up close. I walk down the unfamiliar path, my eyes wandering over the wild trees dancing in the weak wind.
Suddenly a noise can be heard, and my head snaps in the direction it is coming from. Out from behind the trees appears Harry looking exactly as he did when he jumped out of the window. Shirt open, barefoot, and messy hair.
"On the run again, I see," I speak up gaining his attention. He stops and looks at me in surprise.
"Hello again, love." He says walking closer to me.
"Who are you on the run from this time?" I ask lifting up my dress as I too walk closer to him, careful not to step on it.
"A girl desperately in love with me." He says with a proud smile on his face as if he has accomplished something great.
"Foolish girl," I comment, and a chuckle falls from his lips. "Do you have something against shoes, or do you just always forget them?" I ask looking down at his feet.
"To put them on requires time, and I don't have much of that when I'm being chased by someone." He too looks down at his bare feet, before we both look up at each other again. His eyes take me in for the first time since he appeared through the trees.
"I have never understood how someone can fall in love with another in just one night," I tell him shaking my head ashamed of the poor girl he's running from.
"No? Then what does a man have to do to win your heart?" He asks intrigued as he walks over to a tree, and lean up against it.
"Give me a man, who is man enough to give himself just to the woman who is worth him. If that woman were me I would love him alone, and forever." I reveal to him, as I too walk over to the tree he is leaning against, letting my finger draw circles on the oak.
"I have no chance then?" He asks taking in my words.
"The chances are slim." I look up at him through my lashes with a faint blush on my cheeks.
He is just about to answer when a gunshot fills the air. "What was that?" I ask in a panic knowing the person with the pistol is close.
"That, my dear, is the father of the foolish girl." He tells me getting ready to run away once again but stops. "Come with me." He says reaching his hand out for mine.
"Are you mad? I am not risking getting a bullet in the head." I tell him not moving from my spot.
"He is coming closer, and then you will be here alone when he comes." He tells me making me second guess my words. "We don't have time, Mira." He rushes me impatiently. I don't even get to open my mouth before he throws me over his shoulder, and makes a run for it. I am surprised at how fast he is especially with me hanging over his shoulder. I can see the man chasing us, but he is still far behind. With every step, Harry takes my stomach slams into his shoulder cutting my breath of for a second.
However, I don't have time to react as we suddenly start to fall down into a wet substance. He loses his grip on me, and I immediately swim towards the surface to reveal that we fell in a lake hidden behind tall grass.
Harry soon appears on the surface with a laugh finding the situation amusing. "Come on, love, you have to admit that it was quite funny."
"Does it look like-" I don't get to finish since he hushes me. "Wha-" He hushes me again looking around the lake. My eyes follow him to see what he is looking at, and soon sees the man we are running from approaching the water. I react as quickly as I can and pull Harry under with me.
