"You look completely stunning!" Olivia squeals while staring at me in awe. Out of us three sisters I really thought I would be the last one to get married, I think everyone thought that. But here I am in my wedding dress, on my wedding day.
"Thank you, Olivia." I know she is happy for me, but I also know she wished it was her. I take her hands in mine and make her look me in the eyes. "This will be you soon, I can feel it," I tell her, and she looks at me with pure happiness.
"I know, but this day is all about you." Is it really? I keep my mouth shut and just send her one last smile before turning back to the mirror. The dress is far too big for my liking, but I didn't have a say in how it looks just like how I didn't have a say in anything else. "I have to take care of some decorations. Will you be okay on your own?"
"I'm not ten." I chuckle and rush her away with my hands. She begs to the door in a hurry giving me a wave before she disappears. I look back into the mirror when she is gone, and honestly, I don't think I have ever seen a more depressing bride. I am supposed to be happy on this day, so happy that I am are gloving, but I am not.
Louis and Amber stepped by earlier to talk to me. They wondered how I was doing, and I am thankful that they care as much as they do. They also told me that Leith's side of the church is filled with family members, but on my side, the two of them are the only ones sitting. I have never had the urge for a big family, but I do still wish my mother, and father would have been here.
"You look beautiful." I don't even need to turn around to know it's Harry, but I still do. He is standing there in a tuxedo all dressed, and ready for a wedding. His hands are behind his back, and he has a big smile on his face almost making it seem like his eyes are glowing. How could he be happy on this day?
"What are you doing here?" I ask shocked at his sudden presence confused as to he would wish to be here. I thought last night was our final goodbye, but it also seems like we have had a lot of those lately. "And why are you smiling so big?" I ask suspiciously.
"When did it become a crime to smile?" He asks stepping closer to me. I meet him halfway pulling him into a tight hug, thanking him for being here. At least there will be one more person at my side of the church. I take a deep breath, my nose fills with the familiar scent of Harry.
"That doesn't answer my question." I remind him as I pull away. I raise my eyebrows while I wait for an answer.
"I met my mother earlier today." He explains, and a big smile forms on my lips as I tell him how great that is to hear. He really deserves this. He has been waiting so many years, and now it happened. However, I'm not really sure he's happy over the fact that he met her, or that he can finally leave.
"So you are leaving then?" I ask hoping he takes the opportunity. It is his chance for a new start, and if he chooses to take it he will surely have a good life, or so I hope.
"Yes, but I was hoping that I won't have to leave alone." He says searching my eyes for any emotion that gives him hope for me leaving along with him. My smile fades, and I try to speak up, but Harry interrupts me. "I know what you are going to say, but just hear me out." He takes a step back before breathing in deep. "You remember how I told you my mother left me to become an actress?" I just nodded not really knowing where he is going with this. "Well apparently she has been doing really well making her very wealthy, and as an apology for leaving me all those years ago she gave me half of her money knowing she will earn more." He looks at me to see if I understand what he is getting at, but quickly understands that I don't
He shakes his head with a laugh before slowly getting down on one knee. I quickly understand what is happening, and take a step back with my mouth open in shock. "I am not as wealthy as Leith, but I am not far behind. We could give half of my money to your sisters which will be more than enough for them to live on, and we can keep the other half to ourselves, and leave." Happy tears start to run down my cheek like a waterfall knowing this is going to work. He pulls a box out of his pocket and opens it revealing the most beautiful diamond ring there is. "Mira Mcallister will you do the honor of becoming my wife?" His eyes look at me with hope, and for the first time, it is not wrong to have hope.
I get down on my knees in front of him and don't even waste a second to bring his lips to mine. I can feel him smile into the kiss making me do so as well. I pull away, and I swear our smiles are the brightest they have ever been, filled with happiness. "Yes, yes, a thousand times yes." He takes my hand, and slip on the ring with ease seeing as it is a perfect fit.
"Meet me in the kings garden as soon as you have stopped this wedding. I also noticed Louis, and Amber is here so you can ask them to come with you as well." He says bringing us both to our feet. He pulls me in for one last kiss before he rushes out with a smile on his face.
I have to just stand here for a second not even believing all this is real. I bring my hands up to my mouth trying to hold back a happy scream as I jump up and down. However Leith crosses my mind, and I realize he is the first one I need to tell. I pick up the front of my dress and run out of the room heading towards his dressing room.
It only takes a few seconds until I am there, and I don't waste any time opening the door. Leith's eyes shoot in my direction but are quick to cover them once he realizes that it's me. "What are you doing here? It's bad luck to see the bride before the wedding."
"Well good thing I'm not your bride then," I speak up, and his hands move away from his eyes in a second. He furrows his eyes not understanding why I am saying the words I am.
"What do you mean?" He asks confused while ordering for everyone else in the room to leave.
"I'm sorry, but I'm not going to marry you. I love someone else, and I can't go through with this. I hope you understand." I try my best to be gentle, but I honestly just want to say goodbye and leave. Leith is a good man, but he is not Harry, and he will never be.
"I understand." He says surprising me at how easy this was. "You can leave if you want. I will take care of my mother." He assures me. I smile at him thankful that he is cooperative.
I run over to him and give him a kiss on the cheek. "Thank you. You will find someone someday too." I tell him before running to find Olivia.
She was harder to find then Leith, but eventually, I found her by the flowers. "You are going to have a heart attack, but I need to tell you something," I tell her carefully. She gives me a look saying I should be careful with my next words. "I am not getting married to Leith."
Her eyes go wider than they ever have. "What!" She screams pointing at me angrily. "We need his money Mira, you know that!" She says stressed, and I can't blame her.
"I know, I know, but Harry met his mother today, and it turns out she is very wealthy. She gave him half her money, and he told me that we will give you, and Luna half of what he got, and that is a lot, I promise you. So he asked me to marry him." I ramble hoping she won't kill me at the spot. She looks a little confused at first, but I am blown away in surprise when she gives me a smile.
"Good. You deserve to be happy." She pulls me into a hug, and I thank her over and over again as she does so.
"Harry asked me to meet him in the kings garden, so if you go there you might get to decorate a wedding after all," I inform her. I don't even get a reply, because she is too busy gathering some of the decoration. I just laugh and move over to the seats where Amber and Louis is. "We are leaving," I tell them both as I pull them out of their seats.
"Why?" They say at the same time. I look at them a little freaked out, nevertheless I take their hands while we walk towards the big door leading out.
"Because I am not getting married, not to Leith at least." I quickly inform them not even bothering to look them in the eyes as I do so. I am far to busy trying to get out of here as noticed as possible.
"Again, why?" Louis asks still confused.
I stop walking making them stop as well. "Because Harry met his mother, she is rich, she gave Harry money, so now Harry is rich," I tell them shortly tired of saying it over, and over again, but the next thing I will say is something I will never get tired of. "So Harry proposed." Amber squeals tackling me in a hug, while we jump up and down happily.
"Where are you going?" My head snaps to the side to see Leith's mother coming closer to us. Panic starts to fill my body while I look at her petrified. That woman is not someone you want to get mad.
I look at Louis, and Amber to see them just as scared as me. They look back at me trying to get an answer for what to do next. "Run?" I ask not really knowing what to do.
"Run," Louis confirms as he gives us a push in the direction of the door. We run the fastest we can in panic, nevertheless a smile is on our face, and laughs fill the air as we run out of the church.
