Seven in the morning.
Na-Eun's eyes squinting from the ever-so-bright light of the sun that escaped through her window. Blinking a few times before actually getting up to bed. Another day, she sighed by the thought, doing a few stretches to entirely wake her body up.
She stopped stretching, startled at someone suddenly knocking on her door.
"Yes?" She said, curious of who it was. She didn't even bother to open the door due to laziness.
"Eun, I know you're awake. Let me in." Her older brother, Jasper, knocked a few times again. It seemed urgent for some reason. He was rushing her after all.
"Ugh. But I just woke up! My face is a huge mess." She whined, almost shouting at him for somehow disturbing her.
"Tch. Your face is always a mess, don't get your hopes up, lil' sis. Just let me in!" He started to knock on her door even harder, "hey!" He grunted.
"Wait, jerk." She then scoffed, grabbing a hairbrush and brushed her hair, looking at herself at the mirror, fixing herself a bit before forcefully opening the door for Jasper.
This better be important.
When she did open the door, she wanted to scoff at how calm he actually was. Unlike how she concluded he would look just by hearing him. Words do lie. Na-Eun stated as Jasper made himself enter her room.
He was sweating like crazy, based on her deduction, he must've exercised a little bit before barging in her room.
"I doubt that you're older," Na-Eun said, scrunching through her drawers to find a face towel, throwing it towards Jasper. She leaned against the wall and watched him as he wiped the sweat from his face. "So, what the hell did you want to tell me?" She asked him, obviously irritated by his presence.
Sure he would be the ideal older brother of anyone but you see 一 he was just a complete nightmare for her.
"I'm not sure about this but . . ." he mumbled and bit his lip, his expression changing from being teasing to being reluctant, "I think you're getting married." He fiddled his fingers, ready for her outburst of the sudden news.
"Pffft . . . HAHAHA." Na-Eun tried to keep a straight face but failed and let loose with a loud guffaw.
"Why are you laughing?!" He protested, his brows knitted together, irritated at how she reacted at the situation.
"Wait, wait, wait, so you barged in here just to tell me that I'm getting married?" She tried to hold her laughter. His reaction was priceless.
How he looked so serious as he was telling it to her, how he looked so nervous and somehow glum. "Well yeah, and I see no reason for you to cackle that off, brat."
"Your reaction just made me burst, I am sincerely sorry."
"The fuck, Eun. You're getting married to a stranger and you don't care? What the hell is wrong with you?"
"Who cares?" She simply shrugged.
"I do!" He burst, standing up and facing you, "Na-Eun I care for you too. At some point I may look like I don't when actually I god damn do."
Na-Eun stopped at his sudden outburst, yes she has seen that side of his, but she sees it rarely, and it still gives her chills down her spine despite the times she has already seen it, "There's nothing wrong with it. I'm completely fine." She tried to calm him down, "I'm sorry." Na-Eun apologized, trying to hold his arm but he swatted it away.
"I can't believe I have a sister like you. Whatever, I'm gonna take a bath. I can't believe that I was so worried for you and you're just gonna laugh it off my face." He said and attempted to leave. When he was at her door, he glanced at her, "and because of that, you're so gonna treat me some bubble tea." He winked.
Na-Eun then sighed in relief, he got her there. "And you think I can stand being mad at you, huh lil' sis?"
"You got me worried there." She smiled, hanging onto her chest, "please, don't do that again."
"As you wish, madame." He then mimicked, smiling at her before finally leaving, closing the door.
She was left with only one question in her head. Who was she even going to marry? She just shook her head and looked at the mirror once more.
"Well, who could it be? Fucking Jeon JungKook?" She joked, eyes widening at the thought. She hit her head at a nearby wall when she realized what the hell she was just thinking.
Na-Eun sat down on her bed behind her. What are you thinking Na-Eun? Getting married to 'him' will never happen . . . right? She couldn't take her somwhat obnoxious thoughts anymore. She immediately took a bath and picked out some nice clothes.
She finally decided to take a quick walk or something.
When she got outside, she quickly took out her phone and checked the time. Seven thirty. Well, not too early. Even though she knew that her parents would scold her because she didn't ask for permission, she still went outside. The maids were asleep. And she was sure of that.
Na-Eun decided to walk in the park. She sat down a bench and just thought things through. She didn't care if she was getting married. The thing she cares about is WHO she was going to marry.
Out of nowhere, she suddenly thought of "him".
It was six years ago Na-Eun . . . six years. You were both so young, okay? He probably forgot you already . . . he's rich and famous now. He's happy with his life. Enjoy your life without him, Na-Eun . . . just enjoy it. She thought and released a sigh.
She sighed as she was slightly closing her eyes,
she was desperate to relax and just forget things for once. Even though she was ready, she still couldn't erase the fact that she actually didn't want it. Na-Eun had someone else staying in her heart, even though she didn't see him for years, she still loved him so desperately. The wind suddenly passed by, causing her handkerchief to suddenly fly away. She picked it up, but someone picked it up as well. Her eyes began to automatically widen when she bent down to reach for her handkerchief, at the same time another hand handing it, reading the ring that it had, the words engraved: 전정국.
Shit. This is so not my day. What the 一
