Dressed in an olive green dress that hugged my body perfectly, I entered Jasper's car. It's tonight, alright. Tonight is the night where I need to release my acting skills, yes, the dinner with the Yoon's.
Yoon Daeri has been bugging me about who I was going to take, however, I never bothered to answer her. I wasn't planning on taking anyone, anyway. It's better if I arrive there by myself.
Kiara had to meet up with her mom. She had a business to run, and so she needed to attend that prior engagement. Jasper kept on asking me if I was sure that I wanted to proceed. With all the drama I've been through yesterday, he was having second thoughts on whether I should attend or not.
“A deal's a deal,” I sighed, leaning back to rest for a bit. Yeah, maybe I have been thinking about too much lately. He just gave me a frown, and proceeded to start the engine.
I took a peek at my phone for a moment, realising that Jungkook still didn't reply. Geez, Jeon Jungkook. Just one reply. I need to know if you're alright. “What happened to that Guk of yours?” Jasper suddenly opened up a topic.
Massaging my temples, I replied, “Still in Incheon, I suppose. Busy, perhaps.”
I saw how he smirked, as if he was teasing me. And what is it again? “You're obviously upset.” He told me, causing me to glare at him. “Since when did you speak to me so formally, brat? And also, you haven't been jogging lately. How weird.”
“Oh, I am ever-so-astounded and touched that you noticed, good sire,” I rolled my eyes at him. Focusing my gaze on the road.
I sensed that he was going to speak up once again once my phone started to ring.
“And who's that?” he asked, not bothering to glance at my direction since his eyes were glued on the road.
Since I was too ignorant at the moment to reply, I straightforwardly answered the call, not bothering to speak up first. “Miss Lee?” that voice. “Are you there?”
“Hm?”
“Dinner?” he suddenly asked.
“Nah. I have other plans tonight, Mr. Jeon. I apologise.”
He paused for a moment before replying, “Oh, that dinner with Yoon Daeri?”
How did he . . . ? Okay, never mind. What do I ever expect from him? He has his connections of course, but I don't really remember if I told him or not. How forgetful I am.
“Mhm,” I curtly replied, once again massaging my temples. This headache has been going on ever since last night. Maybe I really do need some rest.
I didn't notice that he suddenly hung up. Oh, shoot. Did I bore him? Offend him? Ugh. Pull yourself together, Lee Na-Eun. I took a side glance at Jasper, and I wanted to hit him so hard since I noticed that he was refraining himself from laughing.
“What's so funny?”
“How blunt you are.”
Heaving a sigh, I closed my eyes and decided to disregard what my brother just said. This is going to be a long night.

Finally, I arrived at the Yoon mansion. Once Jasper pulled up, he looked at me in a worried manner. I know how much he didn't want me to go. If he was to choose, he would rather let me stay at home for a while.
