Three days later I was walking to school by myself, Kiera had come down with a serious cold and she didn’t want to risk it getting worst before prom. So here I was walking in the rain, getting soaked despite my rain coat and hat. Even though I said I didn’t mind walking by myself I sort of did, the isolation was starting to get to me, I knew I had done it to myself but I didn’t like feeling like a freak.
A jet black Mercedes pulled up on the road beside me, it stopped but its purring engine revved and then the window rolled down.
“Hey there sunshine, want a ride?”
I looked over in utter amazement, it was Logan in the driver’s seat.
“Where the hell did you get that?” I asked
“I come from a rich family” He said “Are you coming or do you want to get even more soaked?”
I thought about this for only a second before running around the front of the car and getting into the warm leather passenger seat. I shed my rain coat almost instantly.
“Better?” Logan asked as he pulled away from the curb and sped off down the road
“Much better” I said “thank you”
“you know” He said “ I could drive you to school the rest of the year if you like, that way you wouldn’t get caught in the rain so much”
I looked around the shiny interior of the car, it was really nice, but I had never even seen anything this nice
“I don’t know” I said “I’m more of a bike kind of girl”
“I got a bike?” Logan offered
I looked over at him
“What kind of bike?” I said, feeling as though I already knew
Logan looked at me and grinned
“One that goes a whole lot faster than your bike I’m sure” He said
I giggled
“Tell you what” I said “I will let you drive me to school if you drive Kiera at least once to okay? It would make her life”
Logan grinned
“You drive a hard bargain” He said “but I think I can make that happen”
I smiled, yay
As we sped off down the road I pulled my braids out in front of me so they could dry off in the warm air that was now flowing at me from the dashboard, Logan looked over and frowned.
“What?” I asked
“Why do you always wear your hair back?” He asked “I mean, you never let it hang down. I heard that its like a moonlight waterfall”
I scowled
“That’s just what Kiera told you” I scoffed “And I like wearing it back”
“Okay” He said “ I was just wondering”
This slightly shocked me, no one had ever stopped pushing the subject about how I looked so easily
Logan looked over again and grinned
“You look cute” He said “Don’t ever let anyone tell you you’re not”
This made me flush, no guy had ever said that to me, especially not such a good looking guy.
When we got to the school I got out of the car feeling slightly nervous. Natalia and her group of bitches, oops, I mean witches were standing beside her glossy red convertible. All of their heads snapped around when Logan and I got out of the vehicle.
