It only took me half an hour to reach the sight running full speed. But when I got there I was panicked to see that the battle had already begun.

Standing on a high outcrop above the clearing I could see everyone and everything, though the place was crowded and already covered in gore. The smell of blood reached my nose even from a hundred yards away. Panicking, my eyes darted from man to mad, searching for Logan. At first I was searching for a wolf, thinking that would be the obvious way he would choose to fight. But when I saw a sword drive right through a trolls back and watched him fall to the ground I was relieved to see Logan, standing on two legs and unmarked, minus a large gash on the side of his face. My eyes darted behind him, a vampire, with burning red hair and yellow eyes was creeping up on Logan while he withdrew his sword from the troll, completely oblivious to what was behind him. Without a second thought I pulled my bow out and quickly set an arrow, with the perfect eyesight of a vampire and pretty damn good aim, I shot the arrow, which zinged silently through the air and landed clean in the vampires head. Logan whipped around just in time to see the vampire fall to the ground, absolutely dead. He looked up to the direction that the arrow came from and squinted, trying to see who was his saviour, his emerald eyes opened wide when he saw me standing on the cliff.

“Go home!” I could hear him yell even from the great distance apart we were

I shook my head quickly and then set off in a dash through the trees, disappearing out of Logan’s sight but heading strait for the fight.  When I burst through the tree’s at the bottom of the clearing I was instantly attacked by a dumb looking troll with a big wooden club. Smirking, I reached onto my back and grabbed my swords, slashing the trolls shin with one and jamming the other right through his chest when he bent over.

“AMBER!”

I turned my head a fraction. Logan had just finished taking down what I guessed must have been another werewolf and rushed over to me.

“You need to leave here” He snarled, grabbing my arm and dragging me towards the trees

“No” I said, pulling away “I’m not leaving you”

“You have to” Logan raged “You’re the reason this is happening”

I opened my mouth to argue but saw another rebel rushing towards Logan, a big axe in his hands.

“Duck” I screeched

Logan ducked the same time I pulled the silver knife out of my boot and through it at the rebel, hitting him in the throat and taking him down. Logan shot back up.

“For gods sake Amber if you love me leave!” Logan yelled

He pulled out a small hand gun and shot someone right over my shoulder. When he turned his attention back to me I pulling my knife out of the rebels throat.

“For five minutes lets pretended I don’t love you then” I called

Letting out an exasperated yell, Logan stayed by my side, both of us fighting at the same time as well as protecting.

This was nothing like training; minutes into it I was already exhausted. Everywhere I turned there was someone else either trying to stab me or shoot me. As many rebels I slashed, stabbed or shot it didn’t seem like it even dented the number of them.

“When does this end?” I shouted, my back brushing Logan’s as we fought

“When they surrender or are all dead” Logan shouted back

we continued to fight, in synced with each other perfectly. When Logan moved I moved, when I moved he moved, I started feeling like we were unbeatable. The group started thinning, from what I could see our side was winning, I couldn’t help but laugh.
