In Omaha I stopped at a slightly better looking hotel than the one I had seen the night before. Actually that was a lie, this one way better, I sort of was still extremely pissed at Logan and used his credit card to pay for the most expensive room I could get, which included a jet tub, fire place, and flat screen TV. When the girl at the reception counter handed me my room key she smiled at me.

“Enjoy your stay” She said

I smiled back

“Thank-you” I said

I headed up to my room  but quickly became bored, there were no books to read or anything. I remembered seeing a bookstore a few blocks over so I decided I would go check it out, the sun was just starting to set but I decided I could walk instead of risking anyone seeing my shiny new Mercedes.

In the bookstore I found at least six books that I liked, I decided to buy them all, I could keep them in my car.

“You don’t exactly look like the reading type, miss” The guy at the till said, when I dumped all my books in front of him. I looked down at my black attire, I guess I did look a little more biker then librarian now.

“Looks can be deceiving” I said, trying out a flirtatious smile on him, to my surprise. The boy’s face turned red and he grinned sheepishly. He rang my books through and I paid, I said goodbye to him and he attempted to say bye back but he was to red to even talk by then.

Walking back to my hotel I was shocked at how dark it had become so quickly, still, I could see almost as well as I could in the daylight. It also came to my attention that I could hear better to when I heard someone following me from a few feet back. I turned around, there was someone there but they were almost a whole block away from me. I turned back around and kept walking, I was only a block away from my hotel now.

“Hey there princess”

I whirled around, the man that I had seen a block away from me before was only a few feet away from me now. He was tall with ashy blond hair and red eyes, his teeth were oddly pointed, I gasped, vampire.

“Who?” I asked, trying to play dumb

The vampire grinned

“You’re the half human princess” He said “I recognise you from when you were a baby”

He took a step closer to me and inhaled, I took a step back

“Smells like you have been playing with a werewolf” he said, wagging his finger “knotty, knotty, as if being half human wasn’t bad enough”

I heard someone approach behind me and looked back, there was another vampire behind me, this one was a woman with dark skin and the same glowing red eyes.

“Don’t play with her, Ralph” The woman said “She’s human and not worth the time”

“Your right Angelica” Ralph said, grinning “would you like the first bite”

I stood between the two, my legs trembling, I knew I was in extreme danger.

“Why thank you” Angelica said, smiling to expose a mouth full of dangoursly pointy sharp teeth. She let out a Farrell hiss and leaped for me. I screamed and dropped all my books. Angelica’s teeth were just inches away from my throat when a black blur shot out of the shadows and smashed her into the wall.

The vampire crashed into the wall, bricks falling down around her, the thing that had hit her grabbed her neck with his big jaws and shook her, breaking her neck. Angelica thumped to the ground, dead.

Ralph hissed with furry and lunged for the dog and tried to grab him by the scruff, but the dog was extremely fast and ran up the wall and jumped on the vampires back, biting his shoulder. Ralph yelled in pain and fell to his knee’s under the dogs wait. The giant black dog bit down again, this time on Ralph’s neck. I thought that he was going to go down just as fast as his lady friend but instead of dying like Angelica, Ralph reached up and pulled the dog down on the ground, he started kicking him in the ribs, the dog yelled. As I watched Ralph kick the dog I looked into its eyes, he wasn’t a dog, he was a wolf, a wolf with green eyes.
