Stein Help (Stein x reader)

Chapter 4

Spirit's POV

  He said it....I was right. They just looked at each other and I looked at Sid. I jumped over them and gave them some time. "Did he just say what I think he said?" Sid asked and I nodded. "Yea I told him he did but you know he's all in denial". I said and he nodded

Your POV

DID HE REALLY JUST SAY THAT?!?! I looked at him and he looked at me waiting for and answer. "Stein.." I whispered and he looked down. "I thought you wouldn't feel the same way" he said and stood up. He left me on the cold ground and walked into his office. I watched as he disappeared down the dark hallway. I sighed and sat up. Why would he say that? I thought and stood. I staggered out to the front yard and Spirit ran over. I fell and he caught me. "Hey now.." he said and I shook my head.

"No don't it doesn't matter...." I said and stood. I sighed and walked off. "If he tries anything call me." I said and walked home. I got home and flopped on my couch. "So much for moving in with him like I was supposed too." I mumbled. I walked over to my window. "I guess I could call Lord Death." I said. "42-42-564 whenever you want to knock on Death's door." I said and saw him. "Lord Death are you there?" I asked "Ya ya!" he said and I looked down. "What's wrong (y/n)?" he asked and I sighed.

"You won't believe what just happened." I said and sighed. "I saw the entire thing....I don't think anyone has seen Stein so worried before." he said and I clenched my fists. "Oh alright, well I have to get some sleep I'll s-see you tomorrow." I said and left. I sat on the floor and put my head in my hands. "What the hell is wrong with me?!" I screamed. I heard someone knock on my door and I went to open it. I looked outside. I didn't see anyone so I walked away. I heard the doorbell ring again. I walked over and flung the door open. "WHAT?" I asked and saw Spirit. "Spirit what is it?" I asked and he looked down. "It's Stein." he said and I looked at him with fearful wide eyes. 

I closed the door and had Spirit go into Scythe mode and grabbed him. I linked with him almost instantly and ran along the rooftops of the buildings in the city. I saw the familiar grey stitched house that I had been at moments before. I ran there let go of Spirit and he went to his normal form. I landed and ran inside. "Stein!" I said and looked around. I followed the noise of something falling on the floor.

Stein"s POV

"Stein!" I heard (y/n)'s voice. I went to reach out to her. But fell onto the floor. Sid knelt down and held my wrists. I had a scalpel that was covered with my own blood. She burst through the door and I tried to get away from Sid to finish the deed. She ran over and kicked the scalpel from my hand. I looked at her and stopped when I saw the look in her eyes. She looked as if what I was going to do was going to kill her as well. She fell to her knees and grabbed my wrists. Now there was a small pool of blood around me that stained my pants and lab coat.

She reached over and grabbed alcohol and gauze. She poured the alcohol on the wounds and I clenched my fists. She looked at me and I saw the tears start to form. I stopped and looked at her. She grabbed my suture and started to sew my arms. After she was done she wrapped them and stood. "Sid, you can go now.." she said and looked at the floor. I looked down and she walked over. She bent down and grabbed my hand. She pulled me up and I fell on her. She locked her legs and helped me stand.

She looked at me and I put an arm around her. She walked me to my room and put me in my bed. She took all the bloody clothes off of me, and I fell asleep soon after. I saw her starting to cry when I passed out.

Your POV

I held his bloody clothes and watched as his eyes flutter to a close I felt my emotions take over and I fell to the ground.  "Stein why would you do that?" I asked and cried. I stood up after crying for a bit and took his clothes to get them cleaned. I walked out and put them in the washer. I grabbed a blanket and made a bed on a chair in his room. I had to watch him in case he  tried anything again.

I watched as his chest rose and fell softly. "Hey (y/n)?" I heard none other than Spirit say. I looked down and let my hair fall into my face. "Do you think he'll be fine?" he asked and I looked at him. "Yea as long as he doesn't try anything again....because then I'll kill him." I said and he looked at me. "Why not tell him how you feel?" he asked and I looked at him. "What do you mean?" I asked and he sighed. "When you told me to get you if he tried anything....you might not know it but you told me you cared for him as much as he cares for you." he said.

I looked at the sleeping Dr. Stein and sighed. Do I like him? I thought. I sighed and looked at Spirit. "Just tell him how you feel the rest should fix itself." he said. I nodded and he walked out. I laid down and  tried to sleep. I fell asleep but ended up crying as I did.

Stein's POV

I woke up and looked around my room. I sat up and saw (y/n). She was in a chair but her eyes were red and puffy she was also whimpering. I got up and walked over to her. I sat down. I looked at her while she slept. Please don't be crying because of me. I thought and put a hand on her cheek. I wiped away a tear that rolled to my hand and she tensed a bit. I went to pull away but she grabbed my wrist. She woke up and looked at me. She went wide eyed for a second.

She grabbed me and sat on my lap and hugged me. I froze for a minute. Where did this come from? I thought and put my arms around her waist. I snapped back into reality when I heard her sobs. I looked at her and she held my shirt she put on me last night before I went to bed. "Don't you ever try that again you hear me?" She asked and I looked  at her. "(y/n).." I said and she looked at me. "Why would you do that?" she asked and I sighed and looked at the floor. "Stein look at me." she said and made me look at her. "I did it because..." I said but I looked at her. "I'M SO SORRY I HAD TO PUT YOU THROUGH THAT (y/n)" I said and hugged her. I don't understand what happened but I started crying as well.

She held me close as I cried into her chest. "Just promise me you won't do it again." she said and I looked at her. I nodded and she smiled. "So tell me why did you come here anyway?" I asked and she thought for a moment. "Because of this." she said and before I could see what she was talking about she kissed me. I froze for a minute and kissed back. She smiled and let go. "What was that for?" I asked and she looked at me. "I never wanted to admit it but since i saw you stand up for me in the Death Room i have had feelings for you....you are the only thing that has kept me sane" she said and I smiled. "I've been waiting for you to say that." I said and kissed her back.

She got up and pulled me up with her. I leaned against the wall while she had an arm around me. I looked at her and she smiled a little. Spirit came in and ran over. "Looks like you two made up." he said and we rolled our eyes. He came and helped me stand as well. I smiled and we walked out to the living room. They put me on the couch and (y/n) walked over to the bathroom to get me more gauze.

"So why you so smiley?" Spirit asked and I looked at him. "Oh no reason." I said and he gave me a look. "You're looking at her how I look at Maka." he said and I rolled my eyes. "That makes it sound creepy." I said and he shrugged. "Did she tell you?" he asked and I nodded. She came back and changed out the gauze and sat down on my lap. Spirit left on fear of a make out session. We chuckled and I looked at her. "I love you you know that right?" I asked and she smiled. She leaned in and kissed me. "You've already told me."
