Hey guys, so if you see that katalina wants kate argent dead well she doesn't know that peter killed her so yeah that was my screw up so i worked it into the story because i didn't want to have to edit and revise the first two chapters. -Cara :)

Chapter Two

Kataina Night's point of view

I woke up in a familiar room with an arm around my waist. I sat up looked around and then looked next to me it was definitely Derek. I felt the sparks as Derek's hand touched my skin. It was nice to feel cared for especially when my family is dead every single one of them .I felt a tear slide down my cheek. NO! I dont cry or allow myself to have feelings other than angier. Maybe I was harsh on myself but if you refuse to love you won't get hurt. I had a wall up around my heart so I don't get hurt. I laid back down as looked at Derek's sleeping form. All of a sudden Derek opened his eyes and just looked at me.

"Kat?" Derek said "Yes Derek." I replied. "Why did you leave me?" He asked with sadness written all over his face. I didn't answer. I thought about my family, my pack and friends. Then I started to sob and sob into Derek's chest because I wasn't over my families death. I wanted revenge on Kate argent. I want Kate Argent dead.

"Is Kate Argent dead." I whispered just loud enough for Derek to hear. He just nodded "Derek?" I asked. "Yes Kat." He replied. " I have to tell you something." I said. " what do you have to tell me?" Derek questioned. " I knew your family would die in a fire." I said as I started to cry again. "Why didn't you tell me!" He asked. "Did you think I wasn't strong enough to handle the truth!" He yelled. All I could do was cry because it wasn't my fault I didn't tell him. "It was right after I left after first meeting you. I had burns from just seeing into the future. I was 5 years old. I didn't know what was going on! " I yelled back. I stopped and looked at him. "I know that you fell in love with Paige and you killed her. You said at the age of 7 that you'd never love anyone more than me." I yelled with my eyes turning red.

Then I ran out the door and shifted into my wolf and ran straight into the woods. I could hear Derek running after me but being an alpha longer has its advantages. Then I fell and felt some bones break. I shifted back while lying on the ground with my throbbing arm.

"Kat." Derek said as he looked at me holding my arm. "What do you want?" I said he should know I want to be alone but at the same time all I wanted was him by my side. "Kat. I'm so sorry I yelled at you I should have listened and then stated my opinion." He said as he hugged me. I then felt a burning sensation on my right shoulder but it went away. "I forgive you. I'm sorry for not telling you. i didn't want to lose you." I said. I went home.

The next day

Derek Hale's point of view

Damn it! If I had not fucking yelled at her, she would still be here. I had felt a burning sensation on my right shoulder yesterday. I keep feeling sparks every time I touch Katalina. If we are mates this is rare because most werewolves never find their soul-mate. If Kat's my mate I have to be careful. I don't want her to ignore the connection. When she cried yesterday it just absolutely tore me in two. Wait I don't feel! I can't feel my family died on the account of me!

"Well if it isn't Derek himself." Peter my psychopathic uncle said. "WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME!?" I yelled at the idiot. Just then I smell Kats ambrosial plum and freesia scent. "Derek?" Her melodic voice called out. "I'm in the living room!" I called back. "OH MY GOD! It's peter!" She screamed while running to hug him. "At least someone is happy to see me." Peter said in his oh so sarcastic tone. "Peter? I would love to know how you're alive?" She questioned peter. "Oh Katalina! My beautiful Katalina; Well you see I survived the fire. Then Derek killed me and I resurrected. How did you know my family died in a terrible fire?" Peter then questioned Kat. "Well at the wonderful age of five. I had just met Derek and Talia. While walking to my mom's car; I felt my skin blistering and I could hear the screams of your family. That's when I knew I was psychic." Kat said as if it were the most obvious thing in the whole world.

"Katalina, Where is your dear mother?" Peter was clueless.
He didn't know that Kat's mom and dad were both injured and she was forced to kill them to end their pain.
"Peter! She may not want to talk about the incident!" I scolded peter. "No Derek, It's fine. He deserves to know the truth." Kat replied. "What happened? Why wasn't I informed." Peter questioned. "Derek can you tell him I really don't want a repeat of yesterday." Kat asked as her face showed sadness. "Well her mom and dad were both injured and katalina was forced to take the pain away.
It happened about 7 years ago." I told peter. Peter then walked up to Kat and hugged her. I suddenly growled very loudly and fiercely letting peter know I didn't like that. "Oh Derek Why did you growl; unless of course you two have some special connection that I don't know of. " Peter said obviously talking about the likely chance that kat and I were mates. Kat then throw her jacket on the couch and I saw the same four scratches on her shoulder that I had on my shoulder. Oh god we are mates.
"Derek can I see your shoulder?" Peter asked. I took off my shirt so that peter and Kat could see. They gasped and then peter chuckled. "Oh Derek, You and Katalina here are mates. You two however were made for each other and only each other. That apperently startled Kat becuase she then ran out of my house and into the woods. I chased after like it was instinct. "Kat! Where are you?" I yelled. I heard heavy breathing and saw her lying on ground crying by the tree that kat and I carved out our names into at the age of 7. She was holding something. She was holding the necklace I made for her in 3rd grade. It said K and D 4 ever.
