"so you're saying, sooji likes me?" haejin pointed towards herself." like, like like me?"
"i thought we went over this already," nari groaned. "yes, she does."
"holy crap," haejin muttered under her breath, still surprised. "that's big news."
"you think i should confront her about it?" haejin asked as she looked up to them.
yohan snorted. "and then what? press your ringtone again cause' we're calling?"
haejin mused. "wouldn't that work?"
"you uncultured swine," nari facepalmed. "that would mean your digging your own grave. asking her that would result to her following you non-stop until you tell her your answer."
"are you calling me a pig?"
"so why don't you ask jimin hyung to pretend to be your boyfriend?" yohan suggested. "i think he'd be okay."
"yeah, jimin would totally work!" nari clapped her hands in excitement.
"i don't even know jimin that well," haejin muttered uncomfortably.
"don't worry, i'll try and convince hyung to do it." yohan patted her shoulder with an impish grin.

"so, i've heard about your situation," jimin and haejin sat down across each other at the same cafe they went last time.
"right," haejin muttered, her ears red from embarrassment. "i'm sorry for asking..."
jimin laughed while shaking his head. "don't worry too much about it. i'd like to think of this as a payment."
"you already did," haejin tapped her head slightly. "and i'm pretty fine already."
"let a guilty man be," he sighed. "i still feel bad, you know?"
haejin sighed deeply. "you sure you're okay about this? i don't want you to have an argument with your girlfriend because of me."
jimin mused playfully. "hm? would she?"
"oh my god," she groaned. "i ruined a future for you and her."
jimin snorted before he chortled. "what future? i don't have a girlfriend."
haejin gave him a look before clicking her tongue. "stop."
"alright, alright," he giggled. "i'm sorry."
"do you like laughing this much? i never even said something funny." haejin muttered.
"really? i think you're quite the comedian, haejin."
maybe because it was his eye smile, or maybe his laugh, but it made her feel a bit...tingly.
"are you sure you want to do this?" haejin repeated again, with more seriousness in her tone. "what if you have a girl you liㅡ"
"don't worry about it," jimin waved it off.
+++++
"so, you're taking me to my clubroom every single day from now on?"
"yeah," jimin nodded, his hands in his pockets. "you also have to play your part as my girlfriend. so if you want to make it more believable, you have to play along."
"r-right," haejin nodded, flustered.
jimin looked up on the signs, passing every room until the room they were looking for finally came into view.
"it's this one right?" jimin stopped in front of it.
"yeah," haejin felt her palms sweating. when was the last time she got this nervous?
"you look tense," jimin snorted. "chill out, i'm not going straight to pda, you know."
"thanks for the tip," haejin muttered sarcastically and reached for the handle. she licked her lips, wiped the sweat on her free hand with her skirt and twisted it, letting a peek of sunlight pass through the gap.
