Violet Black

Dream

The loud hum of a light brought me to consciousness. I opened my eyes, blinking every couple seconds to adjust to the light that pierced my eyes. They adjust, enlarging to their natural size and I register two figures in front of me. One was small, like a boy but the other was tall, large shoulders, well built.

"Violet?"

"Mommy?"

My blood ran cold, nothing but the beat of my heart could be heard. That was Lucas and River. Why were they here? Why am I here?

"Lucas? River?

"Tell the mean men not to hurt us!" River's little voice dripped with fear, innocence. Who are the mean men?

"What mean mean sweetheart? Lucas? What is he saying?" I dragged my gaze over to Lucas, his head hanging down.

"I-I-I shouldn't have taken you before the wedding Violet, I'm sorry. The american's found out and they were furious. Justin is furious. He's the Canadian that runs them. H-He likes you, jealous bastard." A smug snicker bounced off the walls. What the fuck?

"Mommy is the mean man going to hurt Daddy?"

"Yes." The cold voice brought a shiver to spread down my spine, I snap my eyes on to the blonde man who stared at me with soft eyes. Thick red lips, strong cheekbones that had a natural contour to them, piercing blue eyes that looked at me in awe. He had a very similar build to Lucas only he wasn't as broad as my blue Russian.

"Violet, my dear Violet." He smiled gently, his finger running down my cheek. I looked away not wanting to look at him.

"She ain't yours Justin." Lucas fumed, snarling and spitting with passionate hate. Who was this Justin and how did he know me?!

"She will be."

"No. I won't mister, I belong to Lucas Black." Our eyes met, Lucas winked at me making me forget the situation and smile with a large grin.

BANG!

My eyes widened as Lucas' face turned to shock, looking down and seeing the gun shot in his chest. I heard screaming, it wasn't River or Justin. It was me.

"No. No no no no NO! LUCAS!" I struggled to get out of the restraints, I tried desperately, I needed to get to Lucas now! Lucas, I need him. River cried hysterically as his idolized 'father' dropped to the floor. Dead.

Then it all went dark. Lucas' smile bouncing off every wall in my mind.

I rolled over on the bed to find a hard chest now replacing my pillow, he was warm and I was cold so I cuddled in. The chest rumbled with a chuckle so I followed the trail of skin to find Lucas' eyes.

"Morning котенок"

The memory of that dream where he died had definitely shook me, before I knew it I was hugging Lucas like it was our last time being alive. He was stiff at first until eventually wrapping his arms around my body too.

"You okay котенок?" His voice carrying a sense of uncertainty. Sadly, he had no idea what had shook me enough for me to actually realize that I'd be better off dead without him.

"I'm just, missing you." I mumbled as I shoved my shoulder under his arm, resting my temple on his chest. His heartbeat steady and hard.

"Missing me? I've been here the entire time Violet."
