In a quiet local restaurant, tucked away in a large bustling city, there sat the heads of two families leaning over a wooden table discussing the future.

"Violet would never forgive us, if we let her fall for Felix on her own accord and time it would be better off. Forcing it will only trouble us." Violet's father, Dedric opposed. An enforced frown and fierce eyes set upon those who would force his child into a difficult situation.

"Dedric don't be dramatic, she would get over it. She already loves Felix. They were like glue when they were younger. She'd accept it in time." Magda rolled her eyes, glaring daggers at her husband for being so sentimental. "We had an arranged marriage Dedric, we turned out fine. I accepted it and it worked. I got over it." With a wave of her hand in his face she arched her eyebrow to express her point.

"Magda, mein liebchen do you forget how you threw knives at me on our honeymoon?" The couple faced each other head on, noses inches apart as their eyes challenged each others. We made that deal Dedric after Violet was born." Antony warned, crossing his arms over his chest and rubbing his graying beard. Telling Felix would be a chore in itself but it had to be done.

"I agree, it is for their future too. They have history and it is more ideal than wedding a stranger." All eyes turned to the dark haired beauty that was Yennefer, ever so quiet. Her eyes fluttered up to meet the eyes of Magda and Dedric, a knowing look to solidify their decision.

Her parents looked at one another one last time before turning back to his parents, their old friends. They nodded. "Done."

"Forgive us Violet." Her father whispered.
