"I'm home," Ashley called, seeing her little brother rush towards her. "Danyy!" She picked him up, showering his face with kisses. How could they think of taking such such a sweet angel?
"Come eat your damn food!" Leisel sighed, bring the spoon up to his mouth. "Mom's busy and he's refusing to eat."
She took the plate from her sister and started encouraging him to eat. "How was your exam?" She asked, bringing her ginger hair to the side.
"Good. Yours?"
"Great," she sighed, smiling lightly. "I need to talk to mom."
"She's in the kitchen," she smiled back, pointing towards the hallway.
"Sweety, how was your e-"
"great ! Need to talk to you quick, " she cut her mother off pulling her towards her room. Being a good mother, Kimberly took pretty good care of her kids. They trusted her with everything, big or small. From sex to drugs. Ever single thing.
As much as people like her are rarely found nowadays, she's proud to call them her best friends and not her children.
They mean the world to her and she loves how they trust her with everything in them. Unlike other mothers, Kim didn't go through horrible changing after her husband's death. If anything, She got closer to her kids and still had him in her heart with every step she took. She loved him to the moon and back.
"Yeesh, Ashley. Calm down, what is it?" She said talking Daniel from her hands.
"I saw them again, mother. On my way back here."
"Blond-brunette?"
She nodded back, hearing her mom sigh. "I doubt they weren't staring, more importantly, following me. Who are they, and what do they want from us?"
"I don't know, Ash. Whatever it is you stay safe, alright? I have a feeling they night be, the uhm, you know what, murder."
She gasped loudly, plopping down on the bed next her mother. "You don't think....."
"I think I recognize one of them, Ashley. The same face, two years ago. It's undoubted. "
Thoughts crisscrossed her mind, making her shiver slightly. All she cared about right niw, where having her family safe. From everything around. Being the responsible girl I the house, is not easy when it comes to a girl like her. She has gone through way too much to handle. From the fake friends, to the breakups, to the murder.
And she couldn't deny she recognized a face too. A face she knew too well. But she wasn't sure if it was him, or that she's going through hallucinations. .
"Honey, go through worry," her mother interrupted her deep thoughts, smiling sadly.
"I don't wanna loose any of you," her voice cracked as she spoke, fingers slightly shivering. "Loosing dad was hard enough for me, please mother. Please stay with me. Don't leave me guys, I can't go through this, please."
Her mother caught her shaking body in her arms, caning her broken down daughter. Seeing her kids sad was enough to let her down.
She, too, misses him way too much. She knows how much it hurts to know that he's gone.
"Calm down, Ashley. Don't stress yourself out. We're alright."
****************************
"Are you still gonna wait? We've been waiting two whole years."
"Don't you get that they're getting suspicious, already? Think through your head and not your butt, idiot. You blondes have got to deal with your intelligence. You two" he sharpened the knife, packing thick, white ropes in his bag.
"Well hey, why are you stuck on this family? Why this one?"
"Oh look at Rossy being all sweet," he nudged his shoulder with his hand. "What part of murderers don't you get? "
"The same family part," he rolled his eyes at his elder brother. "We already killed the father, it was check mate, and the king was out. What do you want? To kill all of them? That's just useless. "
"What's with you? You're always the one excited to start another murder.
"Listen pretty boy," his big sister's boyfriend, their boss, grabbed his collar. "If you're going to be all sassy on us, then go join the victims. Either in, or out."
"Alright, alright," he pulled away, fixing his clothes. "I'll be in."
"Good," the brunet smirked, blowing at the knife's surface. " go bring me some ropes."
"Fine," he said through gritted teeth, walking away into the direction Of their basement. "Stupid job, useless life."
Ross closed the door behind him, crouching to go through his bag, taking all the past pictures with red 'X's on them, possibly exceeding a hundred, searching for the ropes.
He took a glimpse of one, and kept it I his pocket, as it caught him off guard. Interesting he thought.
He finally got to the blood stained rope and sat on his crisscrossed legs. He took the picture out, seeing their last victim, killed by them.
A young ginger was walking beside him, smiles plastered on their faces. "I bet her beautiful smile is faded now," he muttered, sighing heavily.
What have I gotten myself into? He thought.
He ran back into their garage, not forgetting to stuff the picture back into his packet.
"What took you so long?"
"Bathroom."
He sighed, leaving them to go plop on his couch, watching the non colored television.
Unless job, useless family, useless life.
