"You can't do this, no! Stop, fucking stop! Do you want her dead? No!" Ross shouted as his boss struggled with pushing him out the basement. He couldn't leave her to another member, they're all heartless.

If only he knew her name, he would've shouted for it continuously, not caring if he'd lose his vocals, but only the poor ginger mattered to him.

"She's going to be killed anyways so shut the fuck up and go look for your siblings."

Ross gave her one last look of sympathy before he was out of her sight. His eyes fixed on her crystal green ones before she turned around breaking their eye contact.

Ashley curled herself facing the wall as the hot tears built their way back again. Clenching her fists, hugging the blanket he just gave her, trying to function her mind.

She hated him with every little piece of her heart, no matter what he did. She felt imitated, having most of her family killed just because of an old stupid misunderstanding by their ancestors.

Him acting all lovingly was never enough in return to her family. She never had anybody else by her side. Even when she used to date Calum, all he did was brag about their relationship to his friends. He was a betrayer, leaving her just because she wasn't ready for sex.

"What are you doing here?"

She whipped her head to the source of the weak voice, seeing a brunette standing with her clenched fists and her teary eyes. "Was your family murdered too?"

Ashley scoffed, wiping her nose with the blanket in her hands. "Yes. Three members," It was all too simple to reply to, their shocked hearts were still frozen. "How are you acting so cool about it?"

"I was adopted. And they, well, the Andersons-"

"Wait!" Ashley cut her off, furrowing her eyebrows. "Anderson is my last name....we're related. But I never saw you before."

The girl remained quiet, nodding slowly before her mate proceeded. "I've never seen you because I was told that our relatives don't really appreciate us, were they bad news? Did you cope properly with them?"

"Honestly, no. I didn't."

Ashley sighed, before a small, barely seen smile cracked through her face. "I'm Ashley."

"I'm Jane. I promise I'll try my best to be by your side."
