"Ross? Can you hear me ? At least give me a sign!"

Ashley wandered alone the forest, having just woken up from a deep sleep. Her body felt numb for some reason and with her only guardian being away, she felt sick to her stomach.

None of what had happened the previous day was clear to her. Almost as if it had been a huge hangover that got into her without even consuming any amount of alcohol.

She plopped down on the harsh, dirt covered floor, before bringing her knees towards her chest.

It's not that she has lost hope.... it's that her source of motivation has gone missing.

Lying down, trying to think of anything of what had happened the previous night, she heard rustling, whispers and footsteps coming closer.

The adrenaline that suddenly rushed into her, with bodies coming closer, sounds getting deeper and worry increasing quickly, she froze in her place, trying to figure out the source.

'It can't be...' she thought; 'it simply can never be.'

"Guys! I think I hear something," a different sound echoed with a whisper, the passing wind sending it to her.

This was the most she needed Ross....right now, right here, making sure she's safe and sound with him, away from any harms...the upcoming harms to be exact.

Little did she know he was right behind her back, wishing telepathy existed between them. Ross knew every little thing going on right at this moment, praying she'd notice him.

He decided to shake the tree to catch her attention, never caring weather they noticed or not. Unfortunately, he never realized she was too shocked to move a nerve or utter a word, and the rivals right after them ran to the source as if a gold pot was synchronized by their ears somehow.

'No, no, no!" He thought, wildly pulling at his blonde strands.

Ashley started getting even more confused as each second passed on; she started spinning around, trying to search for a sign, knowing that there's danger coming after her just a few meters away.

And just like they both predicted, her poor, fragile body was suddenly held up and threatened with two guns pointed at her from each side.

"Don't kill her!" Ross emerged from Behind, bombing a shock down on all of them. "Rocky don't! It's all misunderstood!"

"If you take another step closer," the brunette, heartless lynch gulped, uttering words he never thought he'd let out one day. His gun pointed away from ashley and onto the pleading, blonde mess, "you're going to be shot."

"You don't know her! Stay away from-"

"Ross!" Rocky cut his so called brother once again, his shaking hands pointing confidently at him. "I'm serious."

It was then- the moment where the kindest heart of them all was met against its opposite twin.

Ross found it awfully hard to believe that his blood connected brother would ever put him through a situation where he kicks his own bucket.

"Ross?" Ashley whispered, shock written and spread across her pale face, not having the ability to let out any form of emotions. "Live for me, please."

"My own brother can't-"

"Another step closer and you're both dead!" Rocky furiously once again shouted.

But it did nothing to stop Ross,

The boy took off to the girl, having the various amount of gunshots echoing through the forest, forming a new bond with the drained blonde.

Three steps away, he collapsed onto the ground in front of her, seeing the blood stream out of his left arm making him struggle.

Shocked, she wriggled out of their grasps and ran up face to face with the blood desirer, her eyes capable of doing what her hands can't currently do.

"What do you plan on doing with me?!" She screamed, fighting of the hands trying to pull back her tied up limbs. "Why do you kill everyone and everything that means the world to me? He's your own brother!"

"Ashley.. don't go hard on yourself. He can't kill me," the blonde winced taking both of his brothers and Rocky by guilt. Her glaring eyes shot his heart where he truly felt dead, not believing that a girl as weak as her could make him feel that way.

"I was born to kill. And both of you must be dead," he scoffed, trying his best to hide the fact that the ginger haired little girl stomped his heart with only her own eyes. "Doesn't matter if it's my brother....or my hot ex girlfriend."

"You still have the heart to call her so?" Ross ran up to him, taking him down with his non injured arm, hearing the screams of his current acquaintance,l to both of his brothers, boiling his own blood more by every second.

"That's non of your buis-"

"Everything to you is none of my business," he fought away the gun pointed towards him to have it back on his forehead, "kill me, Rocky. If that's what you think masculinity is, then do it."

His heavy breaths increased more with the screams of the oppressed girl, wishing she was dead. But within an eye blink, he took the opportunity of not having glares sent at him and pulled the trigger, shooting the second last bullet straight into Ross, the sound of the
Firing gun causing Ashley's heart to skip a beat.

She quickly snatched the gun away from the murderer's hands to point it shakily towards rocky, never caring to look at what's dead behind.

She never had to utter a word... her mind was racing. What was she doing? Killing the murder ? Who was she going to live for anyways?

What is there to be alive for?

The only hope she had left was dead right in front of her own eyes. She never even had the chance to confess to him how much he means to her, how much she loved him and how much he affected her.

One bullet left.

It doesn't deserve rocky...I'm better off with it. After all I'll be able to meet with my loved ones again...live a new life where I never get oppressed or hurt or even scared. I want my family. I want Ross, and I need his love. Their presence is what matters to me.....

I have to take that chance....

It was then that her last words were craved down on earth....

The moment where she proved that her wisdom was crystal clear among ever living creature.

'Family is blood, blood is clearly in need of a heart...and you lack that.'
