I shove Arynna swiftly off the bed and she groans before her wings flutter drastically, and she holds them tight with a sigh, "you know I hate that."
I smile apologetically, even though I do know she hates it, "Let's go, I already showered and put on my best clothes, I know you'd be proud!" I smile as my freshly washed hair is tied in a pony tail, making the natural curls fall down my back and the few stray hairs on the side of my face pop out. I then twirl around showing my light brown short shorts and my blue flowing tank top, that fits high above so there is no cleavage.
Arynna looks me up and down and she rolls her eyes, "Damn girl, why don't you get dressed up like that everyday, then for sure you'd beat that little pixie!" She huffs and I frown thinking about Dylaine, her perfection is the highest ranking and her eyes are the lightest brown, and they shine bright gold in the sun. Though she isn't a true gold, they're close enough which shows her to be the highest. Pixies are what faeries call other faeries when they don't enjoy who they are, its basically an insult.
I sit and wait for Arynna to get ready which doesn't take long since she doesn't care as much as I do to see Brodie.
Brodie. I smile to myself as Arynna and I fly out our tree towards the neutral area. This is where all kinds may meet up to do business talk, or just to get together as friends. It rarely happens though since being caught by a vampire would do you harm.
When we reach the lake area I search the perimeter before I see the familiar wolf on the edge watching the water. I smile and flutter over, he must not scent me very well when I'm in faerie form. Arynna wearily flies over beside me and we hover over his head.
I nudge her and smile holding a finger over my lips as to shush her, and she shakes her head as she knows what I'm about to do. I plop down onto Brodie's head and hold onto his soft fur, sparks erupt all over my body and I laugh as he tries to shake me off, but instead lifts his paw and hits me off. I fall to the ground with a humph and Arynna comes towards me, "Faye are you okay?" I nod my head and open my eyes and flinch rubbing my headache.
Before I can voice a response I see Brodie out in his human form, but has a pair of shorts and a v-neck on. I'm glad he chose to be decent this time.
"Faye I'm so sorry!" I shift to my human form, as does Arynna, and Brodie easily swipes me up into his arms and holds me, I wrap my arms around his neck and breathe in the warmth radiating off of him.
"Guys, a little too long." We let go at Arynna's voice and we nod before separating and giving each other a proper amount of space.
"I'm so sorry I didn't know it was you, you're so tiny damnit and then I hit you and I shouldn't have even though I felt the spark and everything too!" Brodie rambles on running his fingers through his hair.
"You're right he does ramble." Arynna mumbles under her breathe and I giggle a bit. But Brodie hears and his eyes widen as if he's finally noticed her, "Excuse me, and you are?"
He clears his throat before standing up tall, him hovering over the both of us easily. "I'm Arynna, her best friend. And since she told me about your little whoop-dee-doo situation here, I have to make sure things are set right here." She pokes his chest and his eyes widen not expecting her to do so, and being honest neither did I.
"Well, not exactly, she just didn't want me going alone due to safety reasons." My voice trails off, as we all know about how the vampires would not take even a second to lock us up, or even kill us.
Brodie looks down as I do, and Arynna sighs slowly, "I'm sorry you guys are out into this situation."
I nod and Brodie's speaks up, "I know it's risky, but I'm willing to do this, us." He gestures between him and I and I look up immediately. "Brodi-"
"I don't care. I care about you. If they find us I'll take the blame and I'll be taken." He growls and turns before punching a nearby rock. I flinch and Arynna backs up giving us space, which I nod at her for. "I know that it's stupid since we barely know each other and this is the best way to take the rejection, but at the same time I already don't want to go without you"
I nod understanding him, because it's come to my mind too, how being without a mate tears yourself in half. You won't die unless you're mated, but even then a part of you dies.
"You can think about it at least Faye, because I know for me," he walks over and holds my one hand in his two larger ones and I immediately notice his shoulders drop down relaxed, "I'd rather spend as much time with you being fully alive, then going the rest of mine half dead." My eyes meet his and I smile small before nodding my head with ease.
"Wow. Yeah he does talk a lot." I turn to Arynna as she smiles at us both, "oh, sorry." She turns into her faerie form and flies into a tree and I shake my head.
"I want to too. I don't really have anything else to live for anyways." I step closer to him and ignore the short hey! from Arynna. "Well I do, but I just don't think my life wouldn't be worth living when half of my would is gone."
Arynna comes out and shifts into her human form, "I'm sorry but Faye are you sure about this?" She looks at me with concern and I nod, "Imagine if you and Evawn were in this situation."
Arynna looks down and nods, "We would probably do the same.."
I turn back to Brodie and and hug him close to me and he holds me, I let the Sparks take over and I know for sure I wouldn't choose anything over this feeling. I may not know if I love him, but I sure know my life has been brightened since yesterday already.
