Where did she go, I wondered.
"Where are you," I cried desperately. She had to come back, it felt like my eardrums were going to burst. Now the words in my head started to make sense. They were saying.
"Lay down, lay down now. Can you hear me. Lay down!". I obeyed. I knelt down slowly feeling dazed. Then I pressed my chest to the ground.
"It's coming, it's coming! Stay still, stay still!". Then it just stopped. I heard some gravel moving. I was terrified. Then something touched my leg. My heart jumped, but I remembered my instructions. It was soft and seemed to glide over my leg, then stop. Glide over my leg and stop again. The pattern continued up my side, to my neck. I shut my eyes and braced myself. Then something was up against my face. Neither of us moved. Then I opened my eyes to see, another pair of eyes. But these eyes weren't human.
