I awoke in the cavern laying next a pile of ash, the strangers cloak, and an iron run with a tarnished silver emblem set in a brownish red jewel. I tried to pull myself up on the stone chair and as I sat and gripped it my nails scraped away the stone as if it were sand. I looked down at my hands... They seemed light in color almost white, my skin was like ice but I felt perfectly fine. I looked around at the caver it was like it was day yet only what seem like a few hours before I couldn't see a thing, I couldn't feel my heartbeat but I felt more alive then ever before... I felt indestructible. I walked out of the cave and looked up at the sky, it was a full moon "How long have I been here... Last issue the moon was still new" I realized I've been gone much longer then I had thought and I looked towards my home and began to run towards it, I could run faster then any horse, I could leap higher then any deer or hare, I could see for miles and hear a pin drop. I exited the woods that I wondered for days on end in mere minutes, I stood in a field and gazed at my home as I saw candle light in the window. I came up to family home with my body hidden by the cloak of the stranger and my face partially concealed by the hood. I knocked on the door as I thought to myself "Who has been living in my home, who has the audacity to take my stead for there own?". The door opened and a young woman answered the door as I got ready to cast this intruder from my presence, I looked down as she looked up at me... She was beautiful, long black hair, fair soft skin, and her eyes... Her eyes glimmered like the most precious of diamonds and she spoke in a voice like an angel "um.. hello sir, may I ask who you are and what is your business here?" I was dumbfounded and thought quickly as she looked at me "My name madame, is Vladimir Hellsing... I am the owner of this land" She stepped back and fell with a horrified look on her face as she spoke shakily "Y-your t-the... You a-are...." I spoke suddenly "hold your tongue woman and collect your words" she nodded and breathed as she spoke again "your the impaler himself... Ir was thought you were dead, please forgive for intruding in your home I had bought the house and land when it was put up for auction" I clenched a fist as a low growl escaped my teeth and the woman screamed in horror "please sir impaler don't kill me, I beg you". I stepped towards her and she went silent as I spoke "SILENCE!... I'm not going to kill an innocent woman, now answer me this, how long have you lived in this homestead?". She told me that she had been here for just under a year now and that that I had been presumed dead for quite some time and that there had even been a memorial set in stone in honor of my military position and great victories on the battlefield. She brought me water as I sat and took in everything that had happened in my absence, I was angered and saddened at the same time as my memories of my home came flooding back and the final memory was if the day I lost my son William... Tears began to fall down my cheek and a slowly and deep pain filled growl came up from my stomach as I shouted and struck the table "WILLIAM!!!". The woman gazed at me with sadness in her eyes as she wiped the tears from my face "Thank you... Forgive me for my outburst". We talked for several more hours and she allowed me to stay the night and get rest, as I sat and took of all but my pants and shirt I looked up to see the woman standing in the doorway wearing a gown and she smiled and spoke sodtly "the stories said you were grotesque... I believe your a very handsome man" I smiled and said "why thank you ma'am" I looked at her from head to toe your a very beautiful young woman... Miss?" She blushed slightly "forgive me Vladimir, my name is Mina" I stood and bowed to her "it's us a pleasure to make your acquaintance, you may call me Vlad" she smiled and blushed more as she nodded "then I'll get out if your hair, rest well... Vlad" she giggled and quickly shut her door. I later there on the cat she had made for me "I'm not even sure if I need sleep anymore". I laid there for hours on end yet I never got tired or restless, I was still completely at ease at felt more alive and active then ever before... I thought of the name the stranger called himself "No Life King" I grinned widely "I am the No Life King"
