*It had been a month since Dante had given Vlad the generous gift and now things had gotten and for those in their village, war was closing in on them all.... And Vlad would soon meet a new foe*
Mina sobs echoed as she grabbed Vlad tight and pulled him back "PLEASE YOU CANT GO!" tears ran down her face as she begged for her love to stay. Vlad tried to pull away as he fastened his sword to his belt "Mina I'm sorry but I must go... I have my duty to my home, you must understand" He sighed as he pulled a trunk from under his bed and opened it, Mina sat at his side trying to convince him to stay "Vlad, There are plenty of other men to fight for us and the village... You don't need to go!" He gritted his teeth as he gripped the trunk hard breaking it.... He breathes slow and relaxed then sighed as he pulled his armor out and set it on the bed "....I'm sorry my love.... I have no choice...." She hugged him tight as she wiped her tears "Vlad.... You'd better come back to me and your child, I want you to promise me that... PROMISE ME!" Vlad turned to her with a heavy heart and held her hand as he looked at her wedding ring "Mina... I swear on my life that I will come home to you... This ring is a symbol of our love and our bond, I will never leave you or my child on your own... On the slight chance that things go wrong, Dante has agreed to stay and look after y'all for me" Mina pulled him close and kissed him deeply as and closed her eyes "My love for you is boundless and never ending"
*Vlad and Mina both knew he would have to leave soon so they spent the night at home with their family and night fell on the small home*
Vlad had been left no choice as he slowly and quietly put on his armor and sword "forgive me my child" He kissed his sleeping childs forehead and then walked into his bedroom and stood next to his wife "I... I'm sorry... This is how it must be... My love" He leaned down and kissed her lips softly as a single tear rolled down his cheek, he turned and walked outside. Vlad stood in the moonlight as he pulled his cloak over himself hiding his armor... And his disappointment in his actions "One day you will fully understand why I did this" He placed a note on the door and left his home... Hopeful with the thought of returning soon to his family...
